Cheers Mark.

Currently at Simjunkies we do fun runs on Saturday night to see where we're going with P&G. In the near future we will have a proper league with well tested track and car combos, with  P&G3 if it comes soon.
You are all most welcome to join and help to make decent grids in P&G.
We have had a GTL/P&G combined season and the numbers were high at first but dwindled after about 5 races and we were stuck with 7 or 8 per race.
When a BIG effort is made in tsteing and making posters and such that's not what we want even though the drivers who were there had great fun and raced very hard and clean, as we always promote at SJ.

What else do we do in P&G?

Every month there is AiaRFC , in short called Arse.
Yes, that's it.  Arse in a reasonably fast car.
Alternating Top Gear test track and a secret default GTR2 track and secret default car, we do hotlaps, one driver at a time and we talk or play music and watch eachother do or die in our single or double attempt.
It's VERY exciting and a LOT of fun! (Imagine playing In an English country garden when a Scot is driving! The curses.....)
regular numbers; 12-15 drivers

Every moth the Arse vase swaps owner and you can keep it for a month in your signature.
At the end of the year, 12 rounds, the ArseTrophy is given to the overall winner.
It looks splendid. have a look in my signature, I own all 3 we did sofar, hahahaaaa!

Then late at night we have Alfatina.
It's there for at least 5 years now and started in GTL.
Different track every week, many new tracks get a chance.
We mainly race Alfa and Cortina together, mixed with some adoon or default cars that match.
Werace as many short races as we can, until everybody is asleep, very drunk or both.
The later it gets the more Americans get in as it's just night time for them when it's night for us.
Regular numbers: 7 drivers (used to be 20 in ythe old days)
example announcment ; http://forum.simjunkies.org/index.php?topic=9653.0
As you can understand it's VERY casual and don't be surprised that some races need 5 restarts before we're satisfied with T1! Smiley

I hear you do P&G on Thursday. Alas I can't make that as I work on Thursday at night.
But I will support your races at Simjunkies.
Send me a PM and you or I can make a post or threadin this section;

I really hope to see some P&G enthusiasts in our race events and I hope SRUK and SJ can combine efforts in future to make a decent P&G season together orat least race in each other's leagues.
lets keep each other informed. (I know about previous excellent attempts by SRUK. We will not let you down unless the day in the week never suits the other club) We once did a very succesful GTL/P&G interleague 6 races with NG so I'm confident we will get something done.

Regards,

Caspar

Great to see P&G is alive here too!
I'll post here again soon. Just asked Tony about P&G at SRUK and might try to combine efforts with Simjunkies.
3  UKGPL / UKGPL Announcements / Re: Season 22 Registration (2011-2012) on: April 05, 2012, 11:24:02 AM +0100
Hi guys,

I race GTL P&G and rFactor a lot and was roaming the web to see what's going on.
I hope to install GPL again soon and then hopefully have some time to join you guys.
Just wanted to say how wonderful it is to see GPL still being run and the organisation looks the business here.
Hats off and have fun! Great website too.

Hi guys,

With permission of your leader I invite you to Simjunkies Spa6Hours

Qualifying

Saturday 12 November

Qualifying 1:   30 minutes (daytime in game)
Qualifying 2: 150 minutes (nighttime in game)

Race

Saturday 19 November
18:00 GMT

6 Hours with L2RES
24 hours simulated

Teams
(Max.) 2 Cars per team
2 or 3 Drivers per car

The two cars can be in the same class.

Start procedure

The race will be run in a practice session. Cars will be called out by order of the qualifying results.
The polesitter will stick to the speed limit of 90 kph / 60 mph, the rest can go faster until they have caught up with the field.
Start lining up side-by-side on the Formula 1 S/F straight, after Bus Stop.
Take care through the hairpin
Accelerate to 90 kph / 60 mph
The rolling start will take place at the start line under the bridge
The green flag will be given through text chat

Driver Swaps

Make sure you have a button mapped for 'Passenger Select'.
Make sure you have exactly the same setup, you can only change steering lock and brake bias. The best thing to do is to send each other the actual setup file (found in UserData\<your name>\Settings\Spa_2007). Load it and press the button 'Assign' to set it as your default setup.
Plugins can cause instabilities, so try to remove any non-essential ones. XD didn't work properly for me at Sebring after the driver swap. Realfeel was fine if I remember correctly.
Make sure you test the driver swap procedure several times. It's fairly simple once you know what you're doing.

The new driver:
Go to the 'Connect' tab and press 'Settings'. Turn Spectate on and then join the server.
Click on your teammate's name and then press the Passenger button you have just mapped. You should see a message in the chatbox confirming the action.
Press 'Race' to get in the car.

The current driver:
Once the new driver has become a passenger, you'll see a message in the bottom left corner. You can then request a pit stop and select the new driver's name in the pit menu.
During the pit stop you will lose control of the car. You're safe to press escape as soon as the new driver drives away.
You're now a spectator on the server.

Test Races

There will be several test races leading up to the event. These will be announced later.

I am sad that I missed the race but so proud that so many great racers were here to remember the great Ligel Canello.
Hats off gentlemen.
