1  UKAC / UKAC Announcements / Re: UKAC season 19 - AC/AR Challenge on: February 07, 2023, 02:40:58 PM +0000
>: Sad Finally fit enough to race and see everything has folded. Where is everyone racing and is it good and fair.

Hey Bob, Tim, Syd and me (and GT I believe but not these days) are on THRacing. Demands a bit of efforts to get used to extensive Discord orga + CM & CSP but a very nice place to drive amongst 20-30 other drivers. Really worth the try imo.

A free car release from URD.....Surely that negates people moaning about paying for mods!

A simple link would be useful, much more than berate people about their financial capabilities. My 2 cents.

He managed to climb back upto about 26th I think in the first 1:40 before handing over to me.

25th. It would have been fantastic racing but those things happen as we all know.  Roll Eyes

Here is what happened if one wants to watch it :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRdjwh7n288

About half of my stint was a desperate try to close the huge gap with back of the pack (apart from 1 car which felt not so healthy too I think).
This was a great experience, and this sense of sharing a same race was very interesting. Eventually Tim still got a rewarding racing moment I guess, grabbing 11 positions !!  laugh

I can put myself down as a place holder for you if you like in case you don't get registered in time?

Woops ! Sorry GT I totally forgot to answer you then, thanks for the offer..  Lips Sealed
I was busy as hell to get everything in place for this event and the following ones.

I hope you'll get back to simracing (On THR and/or elsewhere) very soon.. Some crappy chain lightning events happen, just take it easy..  Wink

You can apply to admin and request to bypass the usual entry requirements by giving your history and linking them to your racing record here. It's just a measure to keep the nutters away.

Indeed mate, you're right. What about you, can you make it ?
6  UKAC / UKAC Announcements / Re: UKAC season 19 - AC/AR Challenge on: January 14, 2023, 05:53:33 PM +0000
Already got myself authorised Wink

I'm afraid not being yet Tim. I think I can ask for a replay review or something like that in order to be allowed, but it might be a tad late now for such a big event.
And on the other hand, they told there were only a couple or possible registrations, they're 23/30 or something yet !

So I wanted to tell you Tim, feel free to make pair with @goldtop if ever he can get in ! I don't want to prevent you from the fun and it's no problem at all, there will be plenty of other events.

Just a reminder, if you've not already raced in 3 non championship events, for example those held on Saturdays or Wednesdays, I believe you'll need to contact admin at THR to be allowed entry to the championship races held on Sundays. I think you also need to pre-qualify midweek on the quali server and set a minimum number of laps.

Damn, I read this somewhere indeed !..  Shocked Cry
In the end if I fail to register into the next coming events due to those very wise rules btw (given it's widely open at 1st), then I will definitely try to get in this community as it looks great, big, pretty dynamic, generous etc !

About srouk, I regret it of course, but everything has to come to an end one day or another I guess, and it's been a long time now that we've been pretty low numbers on the grids.
I totally understand Tim being quite gutted to put a lot of organising work for a series starting with so few fellow drivers.  Roll Eyes

If you're still in contact with Jos can you give him a nudge? I would think this is right up his street!

Sure I will, but he's in a big off season I'm afraid..  Undecided

Note : Done Smiley

Actually I see that he didn't even connect to FB since end of november..   blink  Cry

They are shortly running their annual 4 hour endurance with driver swaps where they encourage other leagues to join them and which I'd love to take part

I saw this and will try to for sure.

We only have 3 people even bothering to express an interest in the next series - at this rate we won't be running anything again Roll Eyes

 Cry Cry Cry

I admit I force myself to keep believing we'd be able to get back to those 12-15 lads grids minimum, but it's harder and harder to stay optimistic.
What is weird id that even sro doesn't run AC stuff anymore, or at least AC classic cars.. Where did people go ?

Maybe it's time to meet some new classic racing enthusiasts, I'm monitoring a bit the THR community since a bit of time. They look to be very active, and drive nice vintage cars.

These were better than I thought they would be. We had some proper BTCC semi-contact racing going on last evening. Thanks for hosting this Maxime.

Indeed they're for nice close racing for sure, little contacts are expected at the party and nicely handled. Not sure they all 3 can be considered as finished yet.

Hello guys,  Smiley
As nothing seems to be planned for this wednesday would you like us to try something even so ?

Can't remember who it was, but someone wanted to drive the BTCC cars ; so I was thinking about setting up a small server with some very short qualif & races but some practice and when people agree they just go on.. what you guys think ?

Edit : Server name will be "SolmyrBTCC". Is up now.

I suggest a little track like Magione.
