That was fun while it lasted I seemed to have a bit of an advantage on grip over Earling in the first few laps, but once the tyres had gone off a bit I wasn't able to fully commit in the fast stuff like Abbey for fear of losing it 

As Clive and Matt have already said - the brakes are a bit of a handful, I think I had the balance set a bit far back for a long race, it was fine for the first half, but then increasingly wanted to swap ends on the way into the corners. Little mistakes started to creep in and once I'd lost the tow I couldn't stay close enough to put any real pressure on.

Thought about changing tyres halfway, but it never seems to be worth it given the extra time taken. I went with the vintage tyres as they seemed to have more grip overall, but weren't anywhere near as progressive as the modern ones, which didn't help with the braking situation.

I briefly thought Erling might be running out of fuel at the end, but didn't realise he was just being gentlemanly.

I'd love to Tony, but I'm pretty much committed to my current two days of racing a week and I doubt I'd get a pass for a third. Planning on turning up once the F1VRC series finishes later in the year though.

It's easy enough to uninstall the Starforce drivers then get hold of the dodgy .exe. There are some details about removing Starforce here:

There's a post on their forum saying that they've got problems with their mail server at the moment. I'll post here again when they say it's fixed.

The brake pressure is probably a bit high on the Elan, I kept locking the fronts if I wasn't careful.

No problem at all, the TVR is a beast to handle at the best of times!

Well those were two very different races.

Race 1, I was beaten off the line by Jose. Managed to sneak up the inside at Quarry and held on to the lead without any dramas until the end.

Race 2, I couldn’t hear the little Lotus at the start with all the noise from the TVRs, consequently lost it shifting up to second and pirouetted gracefully onto the grass Watched the whole field go past before re-joining at the back. Started making up places, but then got collected by a sideways TVR (Bill?) and picked up some damage. The car was a bit wonky after that, but not too bad. Managed fifth at the flag, but would like to have had another lap to have a go at the battling pair of Clive & Erling. Good fun though.

Nicely balanced car set, Tony I'm about half a second quicker in the TVR, but it's easier to string a good lap together in the Lotus. Should be fun.
