2911  UKGPL / UKGPL Races / Re: PC optimization for better 60fps on: February 15, 2015, 04:39:11 PM +0000
Good to know!

The G27 works different to the G25, where the steering is not recognized without PSU!

IGOR is fixed!

IGOR is run by Uwe Schuerkamp via DNS  Wink

I allready contacted them by using [email protected] to let them know about it.
Uwe answered it's a DNS problem. BLW.net "Failed to resolve host: Name or service not known"
Hope they can fix it...

As for tonights race a second server in standby would be great, as I have annouced it as open fun race in the SRMZ Balcarce thread

IGOR is down ATM!

So I will post my IP later here if this is not repaired in the next hour.

Bernie I still have the G25 Wink

And I testet it as you want, result is: all buttons + paddles show function but no wheel turning recognized.

Only with the power connected the wheel turning is recognized.

The USB 5V seems enough for the logic circuits, as I testet my old G25 with no PSU just with the USB and had all functions you had too.

Doh! I practiced the Can Ams at the wrong track (Monza 10K). lol

Still enough time to find a setup for Spa67...
2919  UKGPL / UKGPL Races / Re: SEASON 28 and 60fps ***IMPORTANT*** on: February 13, 2015, 05:42:45 PM +0000
I guess the details of any freezes can be found in the post race comments here on the forums for each of the fun races. I concur with Phil that they are most likely track related but I would hate to damn Monza 10k, which is the one of the best ever GPL tracks for racing.

I agree!

But IMO the most discos are related to drivers with bad connections!
I have no idea how a server manages a driver being for 2 laps invisible and suddenly reappears Shocked (Raoni at BH 65s!)
or the Wifi WLAN driver...
2920  SimRacing In General / Grand Prix Legends / Re: death of a computer ? on: February 13, 2015, 05:30:24 PM +0000
As far as I understand, there are 2 power circuits

- one is powered by the USB 5V and this are the electronic devices that work

- other is powered by the PSU and is only needed to power the 2 motors for FFB

IMO these two circuits come together in this rotation angle sensor board to control and steer the power to the motors.
If there is no signal to let E-power pass there will be none...

Have you looked under the black cover? For the rotation angle sensor

First check if the PSU works correct with 24V output!

I just revived my G25 to find it does the same as yours without power connected!
Read that the UK PSU cable often is defect! Replace with one of a Laptop to test

Here is the best disassembling thread of a G27(just a little other platine in the wheel!) -> http://www.jlvrh.de/G27_UK.htm

This is the rotation angle sensor sitting under a black cap on a motor

Does it Auto calibrate when you start W7 or reconnect it?
2924  SimRacing In General / Grand Prix Legends / Re: death of a computer ? on: February 12, 2015, 05:13:43 PM +0000
Does it calibrate when you start W7 or reconnect it?

Is it the same in Windoof Gamecontroler settings?

Do you know somebody with a PC where you can test it, and Logitech was never installed.
You need just the wheel, no pedals or shifter and a stick with the soft... or there is a local PC store...
2925  UKGPL / UKGPL Races / Re: PC optimization for better 60fps on: February 12, 2015, 02:08:50 PM +0000
Of course after this repair you will have a virgin Windows XP without all the MS updates  Roll Eyes
But this can be fixed by downloading the WinFuture Windows XP SP3 Update Pack 3.68 (Voll)
