I've no idea what the guy( i will not metion his name) was playing at that took me out. He must have seen us and thought about how he was going to pull back on circuit. His car was at 90 degrees almost right across track and there was nowhere to go
I'm sorry, that was all my fault. I saw you guys approaching and thought I'd make it in time, but got it all wrong  :'(

I especially like the "explode" part.

Great video Ossie!! But I'm missing my 360 degree spin at 1387  Smiley

No but this saved me because I was running dangerously low on fuel by that time.

Quite an eventful first third of the race saw me spinning a full 360 degree trying to avoid Oliver, who was going slow after touching the grass at Blanchimont. No problem though, the car was facing perfectly straight after the spin without hitting anything.

A few laps later I crashed into the right hand barrier at Eau Rouge. This time, the car was facing in the opposite direction. But turning around proved to be very difficult on that grip lacking intermediate strip so even with full steering lock I was going straight for the racing line and sure enough just when I was back on the track lucutos came flying and boy he did a great job to avoid a crash. Sorry locutos for giving you the creeps, I should have known that this asphalt strip is like ice.

I'd like to thank all non-GT drivers for being extremely cooperative. It's a real pleasure to race with all you guys!

It works online for all who have installed it.

Just extract the archive into your game folder, and have fun honking!
Works for all cars. Backup of original file included!

8  UKGTR / UKGTR Races / Re: UKGTR Endurance Academy - Brno - Nov 19 on: November 20, 2006, 01:00:36 AM +0000
I had just finished a full 1 hour race when I joined you guys late in the qualifying. With 9 minutes left, I was extremely fortunate to set the pole. But I wasn't sure if I could keep concentration up for the whole race, so I was prepared to let faster drivers pass. Loc put quite a bit pressure on me in the beginning of the race, but at the end of each lap I was able to pull away a little bit after we passed that 3rd gear uphill left/right hander. But when Loc spun off, trouble began, because Pablo closed the gap really fast  Wink After a short fight it was obvious that he was about half a second faster than me, so instead of risking a crash I allowed him to pass, which he would have done anyway. From then on, the race settled and I'm glad that I came out of it without making a major mistake.

Thanks for a great race and clean driving. Grats Pablo!

After watching the replay I'd like to say grats to jamera. You must have been laughing your ass off about all of us idiots who let you pass because we thought you were in a fight with james, when in fact you were one lap behind him. Great way to gain 4 positions without any driving skill. Too bad you spun and lost what you had worked for so "hard"  Tongue
10  UKGTR / UKGTR Races / Re: UKGTR Endurance Academy - Valencia GP - Nov 5 on: November 05, 2006, 11:52:35 PM +0000
A very tough race for me, my knees and hands hurt  Shocked
Well I had hard tires on the rear and they take a lot of time to warm up so during the formation lap I wanted to take the oppertunity, but I *cough* spun off the track and had to re-join at P19. So I'm pretty glad to finish at 4th position. Big Kudos to Gomes, too bad your engine blew.

When I join the practice server I can't select the Lamborghini. But it's in the skin pack. Will it be available for the race ? Or is somethin wrong with my PC ? I have installed the 2.1 skin pack using modman  Huh

Heh, it's listed under M not L.

13  SimRacing In General / GTR2 / Re: Funrace Spa67 Wednesday 19:30 CET on: November 01, 2006, 03:33:24 PM +0000
The server is up and running, Mojo's Custom Tracks, password foobar. Quali starts at 8:15pm CET, which should be 7:15pm in the UK unless you guys are still at DST, in which case it would be 6:15pm. We have about 6 ppl starting right now so there is room for 4 more.
14  SimRacing In General / GTR2 / Funrace Spa67 Wednesday 19:30 CET on: October 31, 2006, 01:16:47 AM +0000
I'd like to invite everyone to a special event on Wednesday, 7:30pm CET (probably 6:30pm for ppl in UK), Spa67, the legendary original layout of the famous track we all know (download here). It is characterized by long, very fast curves, no rails, and no chicanes, and, of course, Eau Rouge.

Here's the schedule:
Practice: 45min
Qualification: 30min
Warm up: 3min
Race: 60min

Tires and fuel x1, dry weather, all GT 2003 and 2004 cars allowed.

I will update this thread with server and password details later when we have an idea how many ppl will join.
Hope to see you there!!
15  UKGTR / UKGTR Races / Re: GTR2 Dual Server Test at Dubai International - 24 Oct on: October 24, 2006, 10:47:21 PM +0100
Comedy moment was as Mojo came round and was about to lap me before going off big stylee in the penultimate corner. laugh

Well that was obviously not the only time I goofed. Sorry for me being so ignorant, thank god it was only a test race.
