I think there may have been a Steam RRE dedi server update today. I see one on the RC dedi server (42mb update).
If you load up steam on your dedi, and look at 'Library' > 'tools' > RaceRoom Dedicated Server, it should say if an update is needed.
Good Luck.
That was it...........server now online and quali starting in 12 minutes. Cheers Ross. Ah great I'll join soon. Not done a single lap of practice though

A late in the day decision saw me jump in to join in the action. Took the Ford as I struggle with the Turbo's, but it was a bit down on top end speed.
Great fun though. Eck and I were close for most of the race. Late on, I thought I was maybe closing in, but then Kai had a small spin in his Nissan and recovered between us, which saw a bit of time lost.
RRE is coming along really well. Time permitting, I'll join a few more (but time is an issue).
Well done all.

Matt varies the car pack each week. Currently he is concentrating on the Touring Classics, DRTM '92, Procar and Gr.5 car packs.
Great. Thx Tony. I've added a promo type poster, with a link to the SROUK page HERE. Note: you need to click on the 'Blue event' on the calendar to see the poster. I've just used some generic RRE pics of various Historic RRE cars. Hope that's ok, and set it to the end of the year. I'd happily do the same for the GTL events on Monday.

There's a good chance we'll get a nice grid on Thursday. I signed up for the The Race Connect event scheduled for today, but it was cancelled as you can see from this message:
"Hi Stig, Bill AJ & Jukka,
Re: RRE Grp 5 & TC's @ Brands Hatch
Sorry guys, but with myself and 4 others registered for this event, it's just not worth running.
I'll be posting a news item about SROUK, who run some great RRE events on Thursday nights shortly. I think we'd be better off joining them for our RRE action, rather than have grids of 4 or 5 here.
Sorry about this.
All the Best - Ross"
Stig
Yes, it's a real shame, but the numbers just weren't there at RC. I could have given it more time I guess, but with you guys running it too, it might be better to pool the effort (That said, Thursdays is always tricky for me) What I'd like to do is add the RRE events to the RaceConnect Thursday calendar, so that our members can at least see what's happening here, and maybe join in. I know I'd far rather be in 1 race with a decent sized grid. I'll try to get some kind of 'promo art' done for the Thursday events here and stick it on our calendar. I see this championship appears to complete at the end of Feb. What are the plans for March onwards, any ideas? Don't want to do promo poster for DTM, and find it's Grp5's in a few weeks.

UKGPL / UKGPL Announcements / Re: Season 26 Amateur Trophy Registration

Hi All,
Apologies I've been away a while.
I upgraded my PC last year, and didn't immediately re-install GPL (the last time I'd done it, I recalled it was a pa-lava, but this time, it went really well....I should have done it ages ago Embarrassed ). Anyway, It's all up and running now I hope Smiley
Ideally, I'd like to try to join for the final 3 rounds of the season. I see there's the 2 leagues running again (Pro & Novice), and I'll go wherever, but if given a choice, I'd rather chase the fast guys in Pro (that said...when I drove Novice....I found myself chasing the fast guys there too Grin) .
Hopefully I'll be there tomorrow if there's room.
Amateurs might be where I need to go. Just joined the Syracuse server and was about 10secs off the pace, on a 90 second lap.
Maybe for the last 3 races of the season I'll go Am, and then see for next season.

Welcome back Ross. No Novices any more, Amateurs! ok, well Amateurs might be where I need to go. Just joined the Syracuse server and was about 10secs off the pace, on a 90 second lap. Maybe for the last 3 races of the season I'll go Am, and then see for next season. I really don't want to end up getting in people's way at the end of the season, being way off the pace.

I'd meant to do some of the WSC 70 mod races this year, but 'free time' has been against me. The LM55 mod for GTL...makes me find free time. I'd tried a few laps in each car over the weekend, and found all 3 to be pretty well matched. Opted for the Jag. In the race I could match the pace of those up ahead, and could only rely on knocking in consistent laps and see where it got me. I'd started the race full with fuel and knew it'd get me 28 laps into the race. Wasn't sure on tyre wear, but figured by half distance I'd know how wear was looking. Exited the pits in P2, with Bill and Coyote/Erling close behind, and with better pace. Pleased with P4 in the end, and gratz to Geoffers, Bil and Coyote on the podium. I like longer races with pit/fuel/tyre strategy. I did practice a couple of off-line pit-stops. I tested and re-mapped my pit buttons before the race and all worked fine for me (i have a wheel button set which I use for pit options in other sims, but GTL doesn't like it, so for GTL i just use the keyboard up/left/down/right arrows. Though I agree that it's scary seeing the pit-crew looking pretty uninterested while the stop is in progress. Pity there's not a timer or something to re-assure that something's happening. At least at the end of the pit a notification happens, with the timer showing the pit length, so you know it's time to go. :-)

UKGTL / UKGTL Races / Re: UKGTL Season 13 The Fifties - Spa - Nov 4

Once the race started, it all went as well as it could for me. A great couple of early laps close behind Goldtop. I wasn't going to try, or close enough to try) any risky pass early on, so followed, and was able to keep up.
After I got ahead, was able to keep, and just stretch the lead. I'd considered the Ferrari 375 for this event, also based on its stats in the menu, but as I found to my cost @ Monza, the 375 doesn't live up to its promise on the fast straights.
Despite what's said about it being lonely on track, I really enjoy just getting the car around Spa anyway, the challenge of keeping the momentum through the sweeps is fun enough, especially when you know you'ew 1 error away from losing the lead, though of course, a bigger grid would be even better.
It'd be a real shame to have no LM55 mod running at UKGTL, as its my favorite mod for the GTL sim at the moment.
Thanks all for the racing
