Watching the replay I did brake early, I think at the time I was trying to put some space between me and the cars ahead in case of a wreck. Didn't take long before ending in another wreck in front of the pits when Hunt lost control and rolled into the track. Somehow he survived a 170mph broadside collision .

This decision was quickly proven wrong, and I illustrated the fact to all concerned at turn 2. Thank you for your concern . . . no wait, that's not right! With the car ahead hugging the centre line, I should've heeded the warning signs, and headed towards it's tail. I glimpsed a potential gap, then gathered glimpses of our demise. Don't try to pass on the first lap I only practiced one session before the race, but it's a familiar track. After the T2 wreck had a clean race and regained my position+1 thanks to Garaeth expiring and no subsequent off-track incidents. High speed tracks like this are hard with a gamepad, but I finally inherited a momo wheel which I will begin using next season.

Ouch. Last time I did an actual race here was in Novs, a couple seasons back. Granted, I've spent more time on Nurb than perhaps any other track and I really do love it. But while I set a PB during preparation with the BRM, I was not as prepared for a live race as I thought I was. First I ran someone off the track in qually. Then, I turned into someone on T1 and had to reset and then found new ways to bounce off the grass walls and damaged my suspension fairly early on. Crummy ping times made the rest of the race rather strobe-y though I hung on until the last lap, putting the BRM into a hedge from which there was no return Ah well, hopefully I won't have to wait too many seasons to run it again. Grats andy and podium and the large number of racers who actually crossed the finish

Was about 1 second off PB in qually, but I had just woken up so decided to leave it so I could get some tea. Not too surprisingly I had moved from 3rd to 5th by the time the race started. Relatively clean race for me, only off-track a few times but nothing major. Avoided the close call when Cookie & Johnny collided in front of me and Andy's one slip-up managed to get me in first. Snetterton is fun in 67s, I think the last time I raced here was Novices. T2 is the only turn I found really hard to consistently get right; the apex seems a bit further back than it looks. Also learned in practice to avoid the death trap at the outside of the last S curve (where the fence comes together in a 'V'). Looks like Johnny had his own unfortunate run-in with the pit wall See you all at the ring!

Ah the ferrari would have been the better choice, wouldn't it? Lotus was too unpredictable for me on such a deceptive track. Trying to pass on the straight for the first time I realized I had no idea where the brakepoint was on the right side of the track and went straight through T1, bumping into Cookie without damage to either of us (I think) before bouncing off the retaining wall.

I don't usually bother with IGOR as I rarely manage to get a race list and when I do I can't join the race via the list (none of the usual fixes have worked).
I know you probably are aware of this, but the yellow 'refresh' button has to be active for the list to update, and it has habit of coming 'unpressed' on its own.

This Lights race was a joke.
From the idiots up front wanting to win the race on the first lap to the idiots at the back rejoining during the race with no thought for those following behind it demonstrated everything which has been bad this season across a few of the championships. Even I cannot say I was blameless.
It was also bizarre; Hendy how on earth did you transform your car from a flaming fireball minus at least one wheel to a perfectly functioning car the next second without a shift-r?
Haven't seen the replay so I'm not sure which wreck you're referring to. I think I had contact about 3 times. The first two 'bad' wrecks i was involved in I rolled and landed on my wheels with no obvious problems to the car. The last wreck I lost a wheel and had to reset and was moving slowly on the outside of T4 when I think you came around and got me. It was good as always racing with you at the beginning, you're a more reliable driver than me I think and you deserved to have finished the race. Sometimes when there is a large wreck with so many cars on the Pribluda monitor it's hard to tell when I can safely shift-R. In the future I'll try and be more careful.
