1  UKGPL / General / fuel consumption on: April 07, 2024, 09:49:33 AM +0100
Is there an application that allows you to calculate fuel consumption?

as soon as I connected, new problem:
my screen disconnects.  Huh
Never seen that.  Undecided
I checked all my connections, nothing to do
I couldn't do a clean lap, having to press the mouse for the image to reappear.
really disappointed  Sad Sad

Are Asano's setups on the web somewhere? My initial Googling produced nothing.

I found them on the old site "gpltrackdatabase".
Now, we can get them from GPL setup, from various setup compilations.
You recognize them easily: Masaki Asano names his files like this, for example for Imola: MA Imola Q3 13235.bb1
You can't be wrong, it always starts with = MA (Masaki Asano)

As far as I'm concerned, I use 90% of the Masaki Asano setups. I always have 49% or 48% for the brake distribution; (at 52%, I just can't turn the car).
Almost always, with MA, the ramp angles are 45/60
I'm not necessarily going faster than with an 85/30 setting, but I feel more comfortable.

I love this track, much more beautiful and richer than the 71 version.
It's the kind of track that makes me want to drive in offline to progress!
I had no problems during my training.
What a beautiful track, well done designers!  Wink

You're right, I don't really need it!
With all the problems I've had lately with GPL, I was afraid my GPL was having problems.

the best I can do is practice driving on the track !  Grin Grin

the settings did not work, axel.
I still can't see the chat window. It is hidden by the lap times window, top left.
I see a tiny bit of it, but the rest is hidden

I use open GL rasterizers,
I also use gplshift, mainly to adjust my shifter.
On the other hand, I want to configure gplshift for the view of the chat window, but I don't know how.

I think I have misunderstood your question. If you are asking about the in-car chat, this topic might help.

that's what it's about
Before, with Windows Seven, the "original" car chat window was displayed correctly.
Now I only see a very small part of this window
10  UKGPL / General / tchat on: February 28, 2024, 01:34:58 PM +0000
Under the lap times window, at the top right, there is a window dedicated to chat.
Before, I saw her clearly.
now I no longer see it, or very faintly.
Do you know the trick of making it appear completely?

Usually, I ride in 45/60, but here, in Hockenheim, I tested 60/85. I had a lot of fun in the big curve with this setting.
I am STILL at 49% BB.
But the most important thing in all these analyzes is that the pedals are the key!
As Tom Guérout always told me, the steering wheel is just an accessory, what is most important is mastery of the pedals. Especially in GPL.

a few days ago I received a new steering wheel -G29- and I'm getting used to it.

Same problem for me.

I haven't been able to adjust the damn steering wheel correctly yet.
I started very far on the grid, and in front, the Honda had difficulty starting at the start, usually I stay behind, but there, I told myself that I could pass, which I managed to do, but as soon as I overtook, my car got in the way, and you couldn't avoid me, lupo
I am really sorry.
I'm so angry with myself that I preferred to stop the race, seeing your Honda destroyed.
Sorry Lupo and francesco.

I have good news: my G 29 is working well.
Here is what I did, it may be useful to someone else later:
I bought a "USB HUB", powered (very important: "powered"), and I connected my steering wheel to it.
Indeed, I suspect my USB ports are defective, even if they work well with mouse, keyboard, etc.

I only have one problem left to solve: reverse gear !
I use the shifter, connected via a Leo Bodnar adapter, also plugged into the Hub.
So I can't use reverse gear. I don't know how to configure
I know that "pepe" will not fail to make me understand that reverse gear is useless, but I prefer to solve this problem quickly!
thank you everyone for your help and your contribution, it’s nice to see that the GPL community is alive and well!

I wouldn't recommend editing the windows registry unless you really know what you are doing. But perhaps a free tool like USBDeview might be worth a try.
Unplug all USB devices except the mouse and keyboard and delete the USB history. The next time you plug in the G29 it will effectively be recognised for the first time.

Thank you all for your help.
I'll do what you say, phil. But I didn't understand everything about that. Do I have to download USBdeview to delete USB history? or is it possible to do it via windows?
I never took this.
Dave, I'm going to check my settings based on what you tell me.

I really thank you very much. Fingers crossed !
I hope it'll work
