Please try this 3do. I'm hoping that I've got rid of CTD in the area by the caravan...

Please TRY HARD to force a CTD by spinning off and going in all different directions between ENGINEERS CORNER and the next fast right-hander.

Together we can crack this.

Just tried it out with 69er, went sideways as hell: And the track was stable like anything!  thumbup1 A real joyride!  thumbup2

... Firstly I would like to apologise to those who suffered CTDs. The problem would appear to be the draw distances in the fast back part of the circuit...

Pete

No Problem, Pete. You did a great work again.  thumbup1
I suffered the CTD always there in the fast back part when these small Wheels lost Grip and the whole Car(with brakes from a Mofa) understeered to the outside. I think going there with a proper car(69x) will cause no problems at all!  punk

This Mod/Track combination produced CTD`s to me like I don't know how. For sure no fun at all.  Sad
21  UKGPL / UKGPL Races / Re: UKGPL Season 43 - Fun Race - Schottenring - Aug 13 on: August 15, 2023, 08:31:21 PM +0100
... Unlucky Andreas, you must have led for 90% of the race distance Shocked

Never mind, Cookie was way faster than me and therefor deserves the win: "The better who wins."  thumbup1
The battle  with Evil was really thrillin and was absolutely awesome.
Like Walter said: "Good race, fun track and beautiful countryside."  punk

... I made a gap from Angex and Phil and I knew that it was only a matter of time before Tris caught me...

Yep, I was actually in second place for a while.  Smiley But then I threw it away, just like the third position later.  Sad But in the end I'm still satisfied with fourth place, the best of the rest.  laugh
Congratulations to all.  thumbup1

Great fun at The Ring. Super close with Martin and Angex towards the end. Thanks for organising, Cookie.

Was a 50:50 Race for me.  Undecided Have found out, that we have not driven The Ring for Years with the 65er. All my setups also were vanished to the Nirvana. Use to be able to set a 8:30 at the Nordschleife. Now was only good for a 8:50. So 20 seconds lost to the outer Space.  Sad  Fortunately, I was able to get at least 10 seconds of it back.
So I had also a bad mindset for the Race.  Roll Eyes
At least there were a few fights   , but unfortunately they didn't end so well either.
We must drive the Green Hell more often!  punk

Congratulations everybody!  rockon

...

I made a decent start and was following the lead group when someone wanted the same bit of tarmac as me and I found myself against the fence and facing the wrong way.  I think that someone was waiting for me but unfortunately they parked in such a manner that I couldn't get back on the track without another shuffle.

I am afraid, that was me.  Sad
Will learn from this!
Grats to the podium.  thumbup1

... I've been in hospital having my gall bladder removed so I missed this. ..

Yes, it's a shame about us old people. Last week I was in hospital myself for a check(Gastroscopy). Tomorrow for a Colonoscopy as a Cancer screening. But it won't stop me from stepping on the gas.  wheelchair

Get well soon, Phil!

From Wikipedia: "In 1967, Ivy dominated the 125 cc championship: he won eight out of twelve races to claim the World Championship by 16 points over Phil Read.[6] On top of this, he won two 250 cc races in France and Belgium.

In 1968, Ivy and teammate Phil Read controlled both the 125 and 250 cc championships. In the process Ivy also became the first 125cc rider to lap the famous Isle Of Man TT Mountain Course at over 100 mph. As the season progressed, Yamaha ordered them to win one title each, with Ivy scheduled to win the 250 cc championship and Read the 125 cc championship.[1] After securing the 125 cc title, Read ignored Yamaha's orders to tie with Ivy on points. The tie break was decided on overall race times, and Read took the title. Ivy announced his retirement from motorcycle racing, stating he would race Formula Two cars during the next season."
