Well it was a short race for me. After the start I just wanted to keep back and avoid any trouble. Tapped a car in front of me but no impediment caused.

I then span out by myself a lap later. Then after driving around at the back trying to catch up, my game froze. Not an ideal end to the season. But hey, it was fun along the way Smiley

Will definitely be racing here again next season.

All the best, thanks to admin for running the show. Happy Holidays!

Sorry chaps for the lag from me in the 2nd lap. I warped into someone. I will have to check replay and write apologies to amend.

I'm chuffed with the result but not at all pleased with a rejoin i did after losing 2nd place. I stupidly crossed the track, to face the right way, and there was contact with Logan. Really sorry ol'boy. It's an action I've seen all too much over the years so I'm ashamed of myself. I hope it didn't cause damage that led to your dnf.

Other than that it was a great battle for 2nd and 3rd throughout the early part of the race with Clive and Dean. Great stuff Smiley

Well done the Tristan on the win. Great pace.

Was enjoying this one. Had got up into 4th after some unavoidable contact in the first lap had seen me fall down the ranks to the back. But some brave moves and a courteous fellow driver letting me by brought me into a favourable spot. I had only started practicing this last night for 30 minutes and then this evening for an hour before qually. So I was quite chuffed I stuffed all the kinks and character of the road into my head Smiley

But then into the 3rd or 4th? lap my screen started melting. I saw primary colours and cracks of flickering colours around the screen. It went into a movie like frame. Even though I could still see the track I thought it best to slow and get out before I did any more damage to the graphics card.

That 4th place will have to wait for another day. But i must say i loved this track. Never raced it before. Very quick and challenging. Smiley

Weird that... I was running laps in qually but got dropped and couldn't reconnect.

Was it an admin override? Was i in the wrong car? BT11 BRM 2l

Anyway, sorry chaps! Was prepared for this one but it was not to be! No worries, onwards and upwards!

Hopefully see you guys at the next meeting. Hope you had a good race! Smiley

Andy
you had the right car and did nothing wrong ...but everybody has been disconnected.
Then Paul started the server again and everything went well (...especially for Clive and me Smiley ) ...but you forget(?) to reconnect Huh

Oh poo! I did try to reconnect until 9.32pm. Then I thought you'd all started the race.

I never knew it happened to all. Not getting much progress in this champ on account of life and tech issues getting in the way. Oh well, all goes in the bag of experience. Smiley

Sorry for the late reply! Very pleased with 3rd. For me in this championship it's a valuable commodity as the competition is mighty.

Hi guys!

I was hoping to race tonight but I'm having trouble getting online into the sim.

I'm using a separate install thru GEM because my original install won't run the 66 mod. But when i connect it goes to the in-game multiplayer instead. It's quarter past 9 now so i guess i'll miss this one. Sorry about that but hopefully i get it fixed for the next round. Smiley

For me, I'm still undecided. I can see the pro's haven't got a lot of numbers so far either, so i lean that way. But then Ross and I were thinking of joining forces for this season as a team (OOps, that slipped out. Team manager won't be pleased  Cheesy )
So then it would mean the inters or which ever he chooses in the end.

Nope, I'm still not decided.  Roll Eyes
I don't mind going Pros maybe.  I'll be off the pace with the top guys, but with steady times might pick up a few points.

Well lets try pros then. I'll probably be mid grid but we work together on that. Wink

Jeez Andy, when I signed you up to CH this season...there was no expectations that you had to go out and nail a Title in your first season.    eek
Next season would have been fine I'm sure.   Wink

Great job at at Sth. Africa lads, and indeed for the entire season. Andy, Rog and Ross...I'm sure Jimmy and Graham approve.
I tips me lid,
Geoff.

haha thanks Geoff Wink

Yipee! Very happy to have won my maiden championship here at UKGPL. It's been marvellous with some great dices along the way.

This race started off rather scarily for me. I just wanted to stay out of the way but in doing so i dropped to forth in the early stages. First JP got by at t3. I saw him approaching a bit quick in the braking zone, so i decided to leave plenty of room, to which he gladly took the lead. Then RogUK got by under braking a few turns later and again the honda of Tony (?) got by when i ran wide through t1 on the following lap.

I was then able to settle knowing there wasn't anyone else threatening behind me and began to ease into catching those that had got ahead. But still by no means was it easy. But eventually i worked my way back to 2nd. JP was some 7 seconds up the road by then but for some reason it never dawned on me that it was JohnnyP up ahead, in the lead and running away with the championship. I guess this helped me relax. I gained a second on him over a couple of laps until he had a spin near the end of the lap, t8 i think. From that i retook the lead.

But JP wasn't giving up. That meant it was going to be tough to stay composed and not be troubled by him in my mirrors. I took a few wide lines when he was close and i wasn't sure how close. And that helped him stay with me for a few repetitions of the track. But unfortunately he lost the rear in the middle of t3 (i think) and i was able to get some breathing space.

Finally, further bad luck came to JP and he dropped back further until he was down in 4th. From there I just stayed out of trouble and brought the old girl home.

Hats off to JP for a great finale and being such a gent. Same to everyone else and thanks to BadBlood for running the series. Definitely a place i'll be returning to!

Cheers all, chin chin!  Smiley
