I hope this won't be the last RRE race here, but if it is, it's been a pleasure racing with you all, and thanks to Matt for all the admin and organisation. If we do start up again I'll race anything, no major preferences beyond the usual statement of preferring the historic stuff. But anything is good. If not, I maybe forced to dust off AC and join up on wednesdays, but that's definitely a plan B as I really don't like the car setup and FFB in AC.

Well I like the TCs and it's Spa, what could go wrong? And then 3 spins in two laps, the last one a slow glide into a barrier which killed the engine. Sorry for dropping out, congrats podium.

What Rating do you chaps have? My Rep is ok (82), but my Rating is 1518. Wonder if I can get it higher before the deadline..

I've signed up for the GT4 event, so will see if I get an invite. Birger, I will be using the KTM as it's my fave car, so will be happy to share setup if you want it. I can do a setup whether I get a race invite or not.

Note - on Discord it mentions that you can only sign up for one series. If you try to sign up for multiple series, only your last series entry will count, so previous attempts to sign up will be over-written.

Yes, seems we are going down in numbers again here which is a great shame.

Race Department used to put on some great RRE races every week, but have stopped that now except for constant and repetitive GT3 events. Finding decent historic stuff on Discord was pretty much impossible last time I looked. Is the situation any better now? Are we better joining the new official ranked championships events?

Seems like we may be at a bit of a crossroads (again) with RRE. I hope we can continue.

Sorry to see Pete and Matt drop out early on, which left just two of us in the race. Birger slowed to let me catch back up after my first lap mistake, and from then on we had a cracking race, swopping places several times. Towards the end I made another mistake at T1 after getting distracted by the lap message at the startline, and Birger went past to take the win, but it was well deserved after the earlier slowing down.

Great drive Birger, and great fun. Just a shame about the low turnout..  

Great start for me courtesy of RWD - Last to P2 after T1/T2. BMW is great off the line and out of slow corners, otherwise I'm struggling a bit tbh. Will stick with it though, and enjoying the battles.

Yes, as Geoff says a good battle between us and very close action, shame you dropped back towards the end. Big thanks to Matt (and Birger) for putting on a Group 4 race though, as I do enjoy these cars (have I mentioned that before?  ). Maybe we can try them again sometime at a track more suited to the strengths of the M1, to even the cars up a bit.

Ok. Opening it up to both Group 4 cars is a good idea as the Porsche is not everyone's cup of tea. Note though that it will probably have a significant speed advantage at this circuit, although the easier handling and consistency of the M1 should even things out over a race distance.

So there was some discussion in this thread about using the 934 or 964 here. I think the consensus in the end was that we would use the 934:


However, we still have the above header, and the 964 carrera cup car currently on the server. I'm ok if we use either, but I do think the 964 will be a bit of a snoozefest here, whereas the 934 will be anything but.. Thoughts?
