Congratulations Enrique and Clive Nice with you both on the last season podium. Great speed again, you McLaren guys have yesterday. After my bad start, it took me 10 laps to close the gap to Clive (THX to the fair Matra drivers) and just when I was behind, I made my first big mistake = shift-R. A nice and close duel with Enrique followed. That was big fun! THX to you, Enrique! My spin in T2 was the end of it. Shame, three close cars on the finish line would have been a great show … @ Clive: As you could see, you were wrong, when you said that I’m in the footsteps of Jos. The Hondas were not Red Bulls of the 60th. Also, I made many mistakes this season. Last but not the least luck often was on my side – shame it was not on yours, sorry for that, you have fought for victory so often … My really best races of the season were Jarama and especially the one at the Nürburgring, but Monjuich was by far the most exhausting. I am looking forward to what our admins (BIG THX TO YOU, that was a successful, well-organised championship!) will be on offer next year. Maybe I cannot resist and try again … I like this MIX championship format, even if I would like to ride a complete 68 season again. Thank you very much for your congratulations. This year with more than 75 races over all, was much too much for me. So I will reduce my GPL engagement in 2024. That is what I planned every year but first, I need that coming up winter break … THX, again to all drivers and admins for having so much fun here. Have a good winter break, happy holidays without GPL!? I wish you all a happy new year. ULI The Master of Mods Formula 2023 (miss you guys on that great event)

Great racing tonight! Congratulations to our speedy McLaren Gang! Great triple! Fine to see you on podium Pete, Phil and Clive!! Big SRY for your bad luck Will. Great pole and thx for cool fighting for the lead in a few early laps. It‘s one of my absolute favorite tracks but not for my Honda 301! I did my very best, never gave up so it was physically my most exhausting race of the season. Unfortunately, this led to a lot of mistakes so I had to finish with a crooked car. Nevertheless I had fun in that never boring race, all the time fighting, trying to find my limit. That was a hard work todo. THX for organizing and also big THX to all backmakers, very well done to me! That I do not forget! Next Saturday I have organised a special event together with Stefan Roess from GPL-RACER on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of GPL called: Master of Mods Formula! You are kindly invited. Starting places are still available!

After the first laps with the Honda 273, the heaviest 66 car, at my home and favorite track, I was really frustrated. He seemed undrivable to me, a disaster of a car on the ring. Maybe that was the reason why Honda wasn't at the German Grand Prix in 1966 – when Brabham (BT19) and Surtees (Cooper) fight under wet conditions for the win … I never forget this race, where I saw John Taylor's deadly accident and later Jim Clark's slide into the ditch - all in the Flugplatz area … Back to virtuality – In the end I was able to work out a setup that promised reasonably consistent laps. Tire temperatures were not perfect, even I used for the first time the “tire patch“ (big THX to you Axel!), what makes them more constant. Nevertheless, I was very surprised by my lead yesterday, didn’t expect it so clear. Even Tris only clocked an 8:25 in 2019 with a BT11-BRM. It's probably the 410 hp that favours the Honda, but the power ist noch easy to handle. I didn’t make any mistake the first five laps but three or more in my last. Glad to read that many of you had a more entertaining race than me. Congratulations to you Andreas and Clive. It's nice to be on the podium with you two. Congratulations also to everyone who saw the chequered flag and cheer up everyone who had to retire - maybe it will work out in the next race. Thanks to our reliable organisers. I'm already looking forward to Montjuïc.

With Honda power to victory - congratulations to Clive and teamie Tom, to the fast BT7 drivers and Axel for the second-best race lap in the Cooper. Big thanks to our admin for the perfect organisation. Please allow me to make a comment about the track. Our fantastic working GPL community has built over 400 real tracks in the last 25 years (which SIM has to offer that??), for me there really is no need for fantasy ... at most when choosing Fortunately, one of my favourite tracks is coming up next: the Nürburgring Nordschleife. It won't be easy to drive there with the heavyweight Honda RA 273 - but I'm looking forward to it. see you all there Btw.: The GPL-RACER celebrate 25 years of GPL with a special event cold “Master of Formula Mods“ on two Saturdays in Dezember Your all welcome to registered Further information can be found here: http://neuforum.gplracer.de/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=657

This was a great track for a former go-kart driver and one of these days when everything is running perfect and smoothly. After the DISCO shock in the first practice - not good for an old men heart - I recovered quickly and was able to drive pole again in the second practice. The start duel also went surprisingly clearly in my favour. Clive was able to follow me very well in the first laps but by the middle of the race I had managed to gain +10s. I didn't make any serious mistakes yesterday and as we all know, that's the most important thing, I had a fantastic set-up, found my flow and was able to keep my concentration well. Again all backmakers did an excellent job yesterday, which was not easy here on such a tight, twisty track - congratulations to you and of course congratulations to my brand mate Greg and to Will on his first podium and especially to Phil for the spare server. In this context also a thank you to Enrique, who was immediately helpful in the chat and wanted to make his server available to save the race.

Congratulations Enrique and Pete, and all finishers The race went better than I expected after my practice but I didn't have any chance against Enrique! As I saw in the replay, I get in touch with Will's BT26 on the first lap, as we accelerated side by side towards the hairpin - glad it ended well. SRY. The Honda is not easy to set up, got harder and harder to drive the longer the race lasts and because of my highspeed take-off after the hill and later another spin, I'm very happy to be on the podium again. I would like to thank all the lapped riders who did a super professional job again and Pete for the organisation. Hope we all meet again in Jarama ...

WOW - the Honda is really fast, unfortunately not on the brakes. Yesterday I made three mistakes too much, so I lost my chance of winning. When I passed Tris, I had a highspeed spun and although I was able to catch up with Clive by 1 km, I spun twice after I had passed him. ? Great compliments to the lapped riders, especially to Dave (R), that was great timing in the difficult last corner ! Many thanks. Congratulations to Tris for his consistent riding and a well deserved win and congratulations to Clive for 2nd place, as you wrote I made more mistakes.... But I enjoyed the race, the fights and my speed so much that I will try to be there again next time.

After my pole at the very last moment and the following good start, I quickly got under pressure from the very fast Coopers of Tris and Axel. The reason: after only 4 laps both front tyres started to overheat extreme (up to 131 ºC) !!!! It was very clear to me with this impossible horror set-up – I better should have tested it before – I would have no chance to keep the lead, but I tried as good as I can and because my followers drove into each other's cars I could carry my lame Honda against the one second (per lap!) faster Coopers to the finish. Lucky win in the end.

Nice to have driven in a 65 after some month again, especially when it runs so smoothly. Congratulations to Tristan and Greg NO CRASH in T1 !!? although Shift-R was allowed – congratulations to that great grid It's also nice that there was an almost full grid here at the Nürburgring with so many old friends and as I saw, they had a lot of FUN, especially in midfield ... I didn't get off well at the start and got in the way before T1, sry for that and THANK YOU for the attentive, considerate breaking before T1 Tristan, Axel, ... and WOW, what a GREAT start you have had Greg! Thanks for organizing this fine summer break race Axel Cu on track again

Thanks for the compliments Greg, very kind of you. Already today I can be happy that it was you. Our competition was very fair. We started four times side by side from the first row and never collided !!! You even went into the green instead of risking a collision - there is no way to go with more fairness than you do! You also had one race less! For these reasons alone you deserved the title, apart from your excellent speed. Luck belongs to it as you said – my motto is: luck is what you have earned, what you had worked for – it is not only achance. Apart from the three engine failures (always being in the lead, definitely NOT driving at the limit, all after the first quarter of the race!!??), which give me a lot to think about, I also had much fun (mostly in the first five races! For example: Silverstone!! THX to you Andreas an Pete) – plus I was able to learn a lot more about build a setup of the 69 cars. Also a BIG THANK YOU to Axel and Phil for the good orga and the AWESOME track selection, that was the main reason why I drove with you this season. I only had to make completely new setups for the 3 races MC (because BT24), VIR and Oulton, otherwise I could just take old setups and GO. That was VERY comfortable, meant saving time for preparation. That was a GREAT SEASON with seven winners in 10 races! Let‘s do it once more! Wish you all a nice sommerbreak!

Congratulations Greg on the victory and championship! A engine failure has cost my victory and title. No idea what I did wrong? My Water temperature was always just below red … I had no problem to control my speed as I want … EVERYTHING went great, no nervousness, no health problems, EVERYTHING under control - until about lap 12 on the long straight I changed from 3rd to 4th gear ... Hard to stand.

Congratulations and a big hand to you both, Greg and Andreas. Yesterday was a good day, everything was right my fitness (health), the engine, also my sliding feeling was present. When Greg had some problems, my lead grew up to 10 then 18 seconds. So I only had to manage the gap carrying my car home carefully. Of all things, lapping my Antipasti teamie Phil caused a moment of losing control, because I missed my braking point two corners further on and lost 3 seconds that lap. No problem Phil, it's not easy to make room at that point of the track, but our other Antipasti teamie Axel did a great job there THX!. Many thanks to all the other back markers – well done! Thanks for your congratulations. It was no magic - as you all know there is no substitute for good preparation - then a bit of luck and fair opponents ... What is the motto of Marcel Gerris (GPL-Racer)? Practice makes perfect, but for me, it's just fun – I hope you all had much fun and that we will see each other again in Oulton Park for the season final.
