Not sure if I can make race 3, as I have other simracing obligations, that was planned already before joining the JSMT 2022. I can join race 4 for sure
Sorry guys, I'm simply too tired. Been a long day and had an exhausting race. Best of luck to you!

Great to be back at UKGPL. At Monza had Pole and held on to the lead. Pitted twice after my main rivals, and was able to win the race without any threats basically. At Aznom Tris seemed to have a better car, and passed me easily on the main straight on Lap 1/2. Tried to hang on, but wasn't able to. Then pitted, but went of at Para, but held on to P2. Race was rather uneventful after that, and P2 would always be the max with the Lola. Tris had too much pace in the Chap and was a deserved winner. Not sure if I can make race 3, as I have other simracing obligations, that was planned already before joining the JSMT 2022. I can join race 4 for sure. I don't have much SC mod knowledge, just used default setups with camber for track; other steering ratio and brakebias, and a 30/85/2 diff for driving style and hardware). Thanks all for racing, and Clive for org! It's very neat Joe's remembrance is kept alive here each year!

Thanks for the nice words mate. I can't express enough how grateful I am, still being able to improve and to perform on top of my game. Turned 50y old recently, and have some chronic physical problems. But all the lights are still on! We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when....but I know we'll meet again Great memories, and until we meet again we have to do with them

Big congrats to Raoni (welcome back), and respect to all competing in the 8th Joe Shaw Memorial Trophy event! It's very neat this tradition is upheld every year, in order to keep the remembrance of Joe alive. Apologies I didn't participate... Great memories of UKGPL, the 2016 UKGPL meeting, also meeting Joe's family. GPL forever!

Didn't get a clean lap in quali, had a freeze and later traffic, but my first timed lap was enough still.
At the start took T1 too tight, and ran wide, but Clive didn't take profit. It was a bit of a ragged race for me, as I did a Kubica (or Leclerc) at the final chicane hitting the wall at the inside apex. Just could rejoin in front of Clive, and was incredibly lucky not to have damage! Then some laps later caught Fransesco, but misunderstood his intentions. When I chose the inside line he also did do so, and I clipped his rear. Sorry Fran... He suffered more than me, but I still lost the lead and time.
Then it was fun to chase Clive, even when I had more pace, it's very hard to pass here. So I just settled behind him waiting for a mistake. That happened out of T1 and inherited the lead. Set a decent fast lap considering I wasn't into a good rhythm, and decided to slow last few laps. Didn't want to get involved in the fight in front of me, and I had a big enough lead. Then waited for Clive at the final straight, but he chose not to accept the gift, so I won again...
For next year, please handicap me, it's much more fun for me to be in the mix more. In one league I drive the BRM, in an other the Honda, whole season. That said, it's very neat this is being organized every year. Arguably you guys didn't expect me to attend, since I'm not a regular anymore here at UKGPL.
Thanks all for racing and honouring Joe's remembrance. Thanks to Clive and Axel for organizing, and congrats to Clive and Bastian!

Was able to get Pole, but Tim had a better start and went alongside. Gave him room until he conceded towards Quarry Corner. It looked like Tim and Clive had basically the same pace as me, but made a few mistakes and lost touch, when I pushed early race. Tim made a good recovery to P2 with great pace, and the fastest lap of the day! Also Clive was on fire but had to settle for P3 in the end.

Like the other race, had a little offline practise session to setup the car. Been a few years I did use this mod. The T1G is slowish, and with a very small powerband, especially the horsepower curve. I think my gearings were quite good for this track. Again improved every session, and another chassis WR in quali. Again took the lead, and after a few fast laps brought it back to the finish. Again Clive was best of the rest, again with very good pace. Also well done Axel for podium, and finishers. I'm feeling a bit guilty, since nowadays in most leagues use only the slow cars, and still win races. However I'm just trying to do my best for Joe Shaw's remembrance. I was happy to pull off some good times. It was great to see some older familiar names, especially those that I did meet back in 2016. Have seen Andy improving his ranks recently as well, and also great to see how feisty Clive still is. Respect guys, and see you at Tuesday

Was happy with a chassis WR in quali, as Clive said, a 48 might be possible with some more testing...took the lead and took it easy last 10 laps. This is my best mod and normally I only drive BT7/T77 with it. Had a freeze in quali so was happy to finish the race. Respect to Clive for a great race fighting back to P2, with good pace! Also well done Tim and finishers. Thanks all for racing, and thanks to Axel for server!

It would be great to see you and Tommie again if you can get over the "pond", then we can buy you some more Guiness?? Sure, and all the other brands available in the pub, like last time out. I'll then skip the hot chili though, I don't want to keep the camping site awake again the whole night eh. Man, I was sick... Seriously, another visit isn't likely. Life's become a lot more expensive this year and as always short on money... Hmmm, if we could only get you to drink Guiness before racing I drink Heineken before racing, mostly one pint (don't drink & drive, drink & simrace). Drinking Guinness wouldn't make much of a difference

Great to see this getting organized again for the remembrance of Joe Shaw, and for Malcolm and his family. Ofcourse I will compete again. Would love to make another visit over the pond, but it's not very likely, financially...I might contact Tommie to drive me again

Sorry to hear m8, hope it will be fixed Yes I run Nordschleiffe now with Kellaaa's graphics, and I lost many of my markers. Simply missed my "marker" for Nordkehre and spun. I believe everyone could pass me. Then everybody moved over for me, you don't have to do that, but thanks anyway! Especially nearing Clive was thinking he would be hard to pass, but he let me by as well! Closed the gap with Tris, but then he upped his pace and I started to make little mistakes. Also Tris had a great exit up to the straight everytime, and I wasn't close enough. Overall I would lap faster in clean air, but at points Tris had the upper hand, and also great exiting prevented me to get close enough. In the last laps Tris made a few mistakes, but I didn't want to do a risky move, or wasn't close enough. I also made a mistake in the last lap, and ran out of time to pass Tris, even when coming close. Grats Tris, great drive and well done Jonny and finisher s Shame Pelle and Iestyn had to retire early on...

Last time at Rouen the grid was full and couldn't enter. Did have 3 leagueraces on consecutive days last week, and was a bit (GPL) burnt out...I'll try to make the next race at Nordschleiffe, even when it will be my 4th consecutive raceday... Grats Iestyn, Jonny and Tim

I've registered part-time, and will take only the BRM or Honda when attending eventually. I'm still learning and going faster within this marvelous sim... Happy holidays to all here at UKGPL. I wish you all good mental and physical health! Great memories at UKGPL, and thankful this league offered me a chance to rediscover GPL, and myself! Take care folks!
