Aw... crud.  I have an audition for a band - and they meet every Tuesday.   I think that might be my season over.

Uli, that's an incredible performance in the Cooper - well done!

I have never turned a wheel here before, so with running a 4WD chassis, a 10th place start and 9th place finish was pretty much all I could expect.  I had tested the Lotus, Matra and McLaren, before deciding on the latter. I lost it only once during the race, at the Rollercoaster, with a 180 degree spin that cost me in excess of 20 seconds to get going again.  In the last 10 laps, I appeared to be catching Rainier, but could never get closer than about 200 yards. Muttram had already lapped me once, but on the last lap, with me concentrating on trying to catch Rainier, I was unaware just how close he was to lapping me again.  On T3, I rode the dirt and almost span out, just as Muttram was about to lap me.  Thank God I didn't lose it, as I might have taken him out!

I'm getting myself tied up in knots about the amount of coins I can spend / have available. To confirm, I am an Amateur, so (assuming I start the first five races) I have 10 + 20 + a further 10 for starting each race.  So for race 1, I would have 40 points available, minus my chassis (17) leaving 23, and so on.  However, on the points table after every race I appear to have 10 points less.

I should be able to spend 130 points in total, correct?

Well, after a few laps, I agree Axel.

Qualified 4th, finished 4th. Great racing with Mr James, but there was no way past unless he made a mistake - and he didn't.

Great performance, Clive - lapped everyone up to 2nd.

Gotta hand it to Uli, he was a class above - pole position by 4 seconds.

Well that was eventful. For one brief moment I had pole, then everyone else started trying - I ended up 4th on the grid. Got an awful start (I blame the stupid flag man who held it for ages!), then span off and was running about 12th. Gradually worked my way up to 5th, and was pressurising a Ferrari with about 3 laps to go. Then, lost it badly at T1 and in spinning back onto the track crashed into someone else - I'm sorry. I finished 6th.

Tricky circuit - can't wait! 

Yes, slipstreaming makes a lot of difference on this track. I had a good tussle with Bastian for a few laps, but once I had finally got out of slipstreaming range, he fell back noticeably.  And then he passed me a few 100 metres from the finish line, as I crashed!

OK, but if a driver is unable to do a S&G because it's the final lap, is he due a time penalty instead?

This was a good race, and most interesting to see the difference in downforce settings. I was running about 4-4.5 degrees, so I was fast through Ostkurve, and eventually made my way up to 4th. Then in the last five laps, Clive started reeling me in like a kipper. On the last lap he overtook me, and then sat in the middle of the track, despite me getting a good tow. Then I missed the braking point before the stadium and clobbered him.    I am so sorry, mate.  Clive made it across the line on 3 wheels. I had to reset. Tried to stop in the pits, dunno if I did before the start/finish line.
