Not too happy with the result this race.

Couldn't really settle on a good pace during practise and quali was really close so I ended up 7th I think. Then I noticed I was boxed up tight between 6 other drivers at the start  Shocked
I tried to keep an eye on the 2 infront and on my sides so when the lights turned green I already saw that my start was better then Jeffreys. Too late I noticed Fabri who stalled abit at the start. I couldn't go to the right as a car was right there so I tried to evade to the left but then I realised theres a car there aswell. Went off the throttle abit as hitting the brakes right at the start probably wouldn't have ended good aswell, but I still bumped into Fabri slightly which spun him and me around. So with quite abit of damage I rejoined last and had abit of fun on some nice battles to get back to the action, but it still left abit of a sour aftertaste after. I don't like causing crashes  Tongue

Ah well, hoping for some better result next time. And hopefully someone will be able to steal a few points from Felix  Grin

Ha ha Jeff.  Grin

Please not Paul Ricard. I hate the place.  Angry

 Shocked Cry
One of my favorite tracks. I just love the layout. Nor do the blue lines annoy me as I'm just paying attention to the road instead of the scenery  Grin
I for one am glad they added it to the F1 calendar this year.
33  UKAC / UKAC / Re: Ferrari 599xx Championship on: January 19, 2018, 02:05:21 PM +0000
Paul Ricard and VIR would be pretty cool with these cars me thinks (some more overtaking opp. )
34  UKAC / UKAC / Re: Ferrari 599xx Championship on: January 19, 2018, 09:03:37 AM +0000
Looks like most people enjoy this car, so is it an idea to make the series a bit longer to 8 or 10 races?

I vote for more aswell.

The cars are surprisingly fun, should make for some more good races.
35  UKAC / UKAC Races / Re: UKAC Season 7 599xx - Nürburgring - Jan 17 on: January 18, 2018, 11:49:46 AM +0000
Pretty intense race that was for me.

Managed to pass Jeffrey when he was holding the door open.  Grin
I started chasing the 2 in front for the first few laps until they started driving away and Jeffrey started to close the gap. I knew I had to make no mistakes as this is a tricky track for overtaking and Jeffrey was quicke4 then my pregnant car. ( I think its gonna be a boy ).
Managed to keep him behind me and I'm glad I got that last podium spot. Though next race the car will be even heavier so it will be even more difficult.
Especially on that long straight on Imola.

I actually found it on Google, didn't even have to do it myself.  Grin

Though I think I'm gonna try to fit this skin in every other car I'm ever gonna race    Shocked  Tongue

I think he was hypnotized by the red "pois" on the back of my car. We have studied that skin for this reason, and it works!

Do you mind slowing down next time, I'd like to experience it as well and I'll tell you afterwards if it worked Wink?

Maikel was really a pirate with a knife between his teeth. Red Number!

One word: gutted.... like a pork on a spit  Tongue

Great race though but kinda ruined it when I made such a stupid mistake and ended up 5th Cry

I spent almost the entire first half of the race within half a second of Felix. I had my " Rüssel" right up his tail the first few laps, trying to work out where to attack.
Tricky to do but we had a few great door-to-"Kotlett" racing going on at the first turn. Our times were pretty much identical so it ended up who could make the fewest mistakes. Saw a couple of wobbles on Felix's car and had quite a few times that the "Schwanz" was sliding all over the place myself, but still no real mistakes to which I could overtake. Then around the 10 minute mark I almost had him at T1 so after that I was on him like a pig chasing his prey..... Huh
Though I completely screwed that up at the fast uphill righthander where I just hit the grass on the first part so the car wouldn't steer and it just went straight into the gravel  Cry

Bit of an anticlimax but overal a great race. Looking forward to the rest of them. Shame I squandered a few points here tonight though.

I just don’t know how you guys are getting 1:41’s here, especially on Hards  Shocked Huh

I don't think anyone here is doing 41's on hard and race fuel. Softs and low fuel is what I ran.

Was actually surprised at the way the tyres work. Hards stay up to temperature and the softs don't overheat too much.
Not sure how long those hards will last though  Grin

Damnit. All this talk makes me thinking about VR aswell  Tongue

Ps; I've put my setup on stracker if anyone is interested. Didn't need to change  a whole lot except the gearing
41  UKAC / UKAC Races / Re: UKAC Season 7 599xx - Silverstone - Jan 3 on: January 04, 2018, 11:47:11 AM +0000
Had a good race. Managed to snatch the pole from Felix in the last minutes of quali.

At the start it was quite funny to see him and Baikal driving off while everyone was still standing still  Grin
I'm guessing you were trying to use the clutch for starts ( which doesn't work in this car ).  Shame as we could've had a battle for top 3. Now it was just Matteo and me up front.

Still enjoyed the car and looking forward to see how it drives on the rest of the tracks.
42  UKAC / UKAC Races / Re: UKAC Season 7 599xx - Silverstone - Jan 3 on: January 02, 2018, 09:16:39 PM +0000
Happy new year and best wishes and etc. to all.

Just took the Fezza out for a spin and was pleasantly surprised. Feels like a GT3 with slightly less aero actually  Grin
Quite fun to slide it around for a few laps.

Tomorrows race should be interesting and hopefully some close battles as there isn't much of a choice when it comes to setuping.

I'll take this then : http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/porsche-962c-pink-pig.13176/      Grin

44  UKAC / UKAC Races / Re: UKAC - Kyalami - Dec 27 on: December 28, 2017, 04:49:03 PM +0000

In race the GT still had a massive speed advantage over the Ferrari, and I suspect it had a small one over the Porsches too - this is probably what caused the contact between Baikel and I in Lap 2 or 3 that knocked me back to 7th or 8th, he couldn't have done that in another car I don't think.

B=M, but yeah that was me. It wasn't the difference in  power there, but the corner before I kept to the inside so I had a much better line for braking into that hairpin. You went wide the corner before so you had to move from one end of the track to the other so you had to brake earlier then me. I was actually aiming to go abit wide, throw the car around and get on the throttle asap. But I just had a massive brainfart at that time and seemed to forget the steering wheel was on the wrong side and the rest of the car was all on my left  Roll Eyes

I waited for you but ofcourse then I almost spun the next corner and actually spun the corner after that one as I just lost my mojo. 2nd to last after that but I had fun moving through the field. Was slowly closing in on  a battling Jeffrey and Mark but the race wasn't long enough for that. Also the last 2 -3 laps the tyres seemed to be losing grip as I just couldn't make T1 without drifting in an unsightly manner  Grin

Still, the cars seemed pretty balanced on this track. Don't know if its possible to do a 1,5x fuel on Fezza and Porks.
45  UKAC / UKAC Races / Re: UKAC - Kyalami - Dec 27 on: December 27, 2017, 11:45:58 AM +0000
I was thinking about picking the GT40 aswell.

Tried them all and the Fezza just didn't feel that fun with all that extra weight. Couldn't really get my head around the Porka aswell, though it sounds great. And, even though she is quite handful, I do think the GT40 is the sexiest of the bunch.

So I'm just gonna pick based on looks ( I know, I'm shallow  Grin )
