yeah i didnt make it either, f1 dominated my late afternoon/eve as well as watching Sebring. I might have jumped in if it was a familar track but that had a ridiculous amount of corners to learn.

i love Sebring so would have had a blast, especially in an RSR or Grp C car ! I belonged to the VAC crowd for ages and saw they ran some good events with good cars but i was still racing here and my iR series so never took part. Have rejoined again now and will keep an eye on it for good events. Re: THR, yes saw there was a GT1 event this wednesday but annoyingly clashes with my P-Cup series otherwise would have attended. Only 3 rounds left of my pcup so hopefully jump onboard a few races after that. With the F1 70's, my 30-50L race fuel times would have put me mid grid of your Server A group according to stracker late saturday, and bet a lot of those times posted were qually fuel runs so wasnt too shabby considering i only bought the cars and d/loaded the track on friday I did see the post about fast tracking into the race but as i cant commit to the series i didnt want to get in the way of the regular championship runners, though was hard to sit out of it Was mucking around in the RSR's again last week v the AI at various tracks, such a fun car to race with. Got a 2nd hand motion rig now so double the fun at tracks like Imola

Bugger, really wish i had seen that Sebring race notice, looks fantastic and i was free this weekend I was very tempted to race the Spa F1 70's race with the THR mob, i finally signed up and did a load of practise laps but think they have a '3 pre-events rule' before being allowed in a championship race but may have still been able to squeeze in. Anyway, enjoyed doing laps around the fab Spa 60's layout.

You Luddites, re Discord i really like that interface for my other racing leagues. Its a breath of fresh air after this (sadly) graveyard of the last few years I am still fully booked out at moment in iR leagues so just dip in here every now and then to see if anything exciting planned, but forlornly. Might catch up with some of you at the other leagues mentioned here at some point, as i always miss my classics racing. The sunday 70's GP league sounds great but clashes with my GT3 league at the moment. Just a tip, if you guys have Sky, watch 'Jackie Stewart' the documentary of his racing life. Fantastic plentiful footage of grand prix racing in the 60's and 70's.

Am another guilty of not replying to this thread. I did check in regularly but it was dead. Sadly despite a 2 month 'off season' spell for me, this planned new series starts on exactly the same day as my regular Porsche series kicks off I did umm and aar a while as do love racing the vintage stuff on here but equally my P Series has a 40 car grid rather than a handful we get here. I was still intending to race here on the off weeks as mine runs bi-weekly but guess its been binned now. Shame as a nice set of classics to race, but its this ancient website that doesnt pull in any newer faces. I dont even know where you can post nowadays to attract more racers, they must be out there.

Total write off event for me. Kept getting the blue circle of death earlier through CM, turned out it was an iffy pw. Race 1 got wiped out by a car at full chat losing it. Had full t-bone broken front wing. Race 2 got to t1 only to find out all my ffb had gone so was left with a limp steering wheel. Gave up.
Cars quite good and the skin pack looked ace. Maybe another time

I’ve got a single seater style sequential stick so be good to use it as I hardly ever do! Unfortunately you’ve picked another track I know nothing about and I have an hours gt4 race Tuesday so my practise time will be minimal

well what can i say, ive never driven a car with over 400bhp and i've only ever driven one turbo car, my Delta Integrale, which doesnt compare to the turbo on these beasts! But really it was totally down to lack of seat time in this car and unknown track. I never got to 'dance' with it, more like slewing from one apex to another Gearstick is a TH8 RA (or whatever its called) jobby, had it donkeys years now. Keep meaning to treat myself to something chunky but it does the job admirably most of the time, with the odd mis-shift thrown in under duress. Looks like a ferrari gate from the 70's/80's to me with its polished chrome, quite like it, if a little dainty for some of the cars we race with.

well that race evening sucked a bit unfortunately. I'd only had a half hour spell of practise offline on sunday. Missed all of race nights practise due to my gearstick suddenly not showing up on my pc and had to do reboots and full power down to get it back just in time for qually I just didnt find any rhythm with this lovely car at this track and cant say i enjoyed the combination. I think this turbo brute deserved a track to be able to open the taps up, like Road America or suchlike, but possibly more down to my lack of familiarity with either track or car. It just felt clumsy in the third sector. Plus with only 4 guys turning up to race, it was a non-event from the start. At the startline my car was already in gear and it gave me yellow gearbox damage before we'd even started then about 15-20mins in, the gearbox became worse and worse, turned red, then died leaving me with a box of neutrals. End of. Did the stock setup suck? i lowered the gear ratio and increased rear wing to 5 (possibly not high enough for here) but that was all i had time to test. When i tried stiffening it up a bit, it just felt worse.
