2 wheels inside the tarmac is the rule, right? Just replay analyzer can't distinguish this. I didn't see real corner cutting during my race

I'm so sorry, Leo, for taking you out like that. I had no brakes in that moment and was just trying to stay as much to the inside as possible. It wasn't a bad contact but GPL reacted violently on your side...

Really disappointed as we were having a nice battle and Leo was quicker, deserving to win. That lap time in qualifying was impressive!

No worries mate, these cars some times surprise us and that is a tricky corner. It were some exciting laps with GPL history himself. Hope for some more next races.

Guess my race story is already told. Fun anyway. Getting used to my new wheel rim and H shifter lap by lap.

Congratulations to all the finishers. See you next one.

Thought I had safely cleared the accident in front of me at the 2nd lap, but suddenly my car was flipping over and landed in a bad position on track. Had to wait the hole field go by and thought then I should just enjoy the race  trying to overtake some cars. It was fun till I got to a point where the gap to the front was too much.

Now to Monza, in silver colours.

In a field of dominant Mercedes I needed a good strategy and some luck with the Lancia, which is very close to the Merc in acceleration and top speed.

In practice I tried to find a partner for a fast lap, but some still don't get how the slipstream game is a team game. Anyway, I was close enough to the front for the start. Race started and it played out how I had envisioned it, 3 or 4 laps, me and a Mercedes pulling away from the pack. It turns out it was Clive and me, exchanging places, going faster than all behind, great because he is so reliable in close racing. Sadly he had a moment under braking and I was left alone in the front.
At first, I thought that was bad as the group behind could soon catch me by slipstreaming each other and there was some 12 plus laps left. It turns out I ended up with a comfortable margin in the front and Clive and Jonny were busy racing for 2nd place. Still I had to push like hell to the end as the gap was closing slowly lap by lap.

Always entertaining to read Doni's race recap. We had a hard and fair fight. Think I had a fair overtake atempt in the last lap but we toutched, race incident, but I didn't check the replay. Started and finished P5, nothing  to complain with Goninis garage Cheesy

I love the challenge of Dundrod and many other long tracks. A shame Greg didn't race. I woldn't get in the way of your championship race

GPL Slipstream Patch V3.0 restores the original game's slipstream physics and equalises them across all 3rd party mods. It also modifies the draft's strength and length to bring GPL more in line with modern sims.

The patch includes a number of pioneering security features to guarantee there is no chance of cheating either online or offline:

1. Saving of Best Laps is disabled to avoid any impact on GPLRank.
2. Unpatched players cannot join patched servers.
3. Patched players can join unpatched servers and use the Chat function, but cannot advance past the track selection screen or go to track.
4. Advancing past the track selection screen is not possible if any incompatible patches are enabled.

Additional Features
- Fixes a bug in brr's 60fps patches which prevents additional car graphics from loading in certain mods (i.e. Those selected from the dropdown menu on the Car Info screen)
- Fixes a bug in 1967 Historical Mod V2 and 1955 F1 mod which prevents the player's engine from blowing when overrevved
- Works natively with both US and UK versions of the EXE

Be sure to read all instructions/FAQs before requesting support.

Grats to Leo on the win and a somewhat disgruntled clap for the other podium places after being robbed of 2nd place  Sad.

I guess that I should be pleased that I found my old pace again with the Connaught, but getting an engine blow up with half a lap to go was a bitter pill to swallow. That is what makes GPL so addictive ??

It was a great race with Leo, but he deserved the win purely on countback of mistakes. I think that I only saw 1 error on the final corner when I was able to slip through for a couple of laps before I returned the favour in the same place  Undecided. Perhaps it was the strain of chasing Leo for some 20 laps that caused the engine failure, but in that period I made another error and lost even more ground. I think that was the most laps that I have driven in 55's ( and certainly in the Connaught ) where I felt at 99-100% on each and every lap. Phil's comments about the brakes was especially true and I found that on each lap they would recover to green across the S/F line, then a heavy dab to get lined up for T1 knocked them back again so that they went red into T2. Still red into T3, non existent into T4 ( lift and coast), same into T5 maybe a flash of yellow into T6. Back to green down the main straight, but the sequence through the hedges and the chicane leading to the final corner sent them back to red again. There were occasions in the early laps when I felt that I could push Leo a little harder but I dare not get any closer because of the lack of brakes lol.

I might have to use the Connaught again.

Congrats on your pace Evil, you were fast!

I wasn't holding back much and couldn't shake you off. I actually wanted to see your driving and at mid point in the race, since we had bilt a safe gap in the front, I went a bit wide in the last corner to give you a chance to a safe overtake. Following you I saw you sliding the Conough nicely into the corners and was very fast in the last setor. There were many laps left and I thought I could give you some pressure, try an overtake, force an error, and soon you did it in the last corner, but you came back strong in the last laps, closing the margin I had bilt. Sadly you probably you asked too much from your engine. I'm sure you'll get the well deserved result next time.  thumbup1

Sad I couldn't join you guys, my G27 still sidelined with a broken optical encoder, couldn't use my Merc I had reserved all season. Looks like it was fun up front.

Sorry for the mess. My wheel lost its center, it won't calibrate straight anymore Cry

I had a good start of the line, hit second gear, all good, then instead of 3rd I got it into the 5th cog, lost a few places and tried not to cause any trouble before Hella. I think I was left 6th after that with the whole race in front of me.

Overtook one or two cars, and gained some other places after others slipped of the track. Then it was me and Phil, with plenty of laps to go. He had a great pace but I could use the huge slipstream to get in front. the same the other way, he could keep up with me for many laps. I was driving hard, just not overcooking the brakes to avoid any surprise, and he still was close enough to have some looks at the front, the Masserati with great tracktion and stability.

Just from some minor mistakes from Phil I could open a little gap to deny him a shot to the 1st place. Great race Phil! Now I guess you can't catch me in the championship   scooter

You are almost right. If you score zero in the final round then yes, your total will be 354. However, if Greg wins the final round and scores 50 points, he can only increase his total by 35 (because he has to drop his two lowest scores, a zero and a 15). So the maximum Greg can score is actually 322.

There are no unmoderated incidents that involve you so any pending mod reports will not reduce your points total. So yes, you are the champion Leo! Many congratulations, well deserved; you have been outstanding all season  thumbup2 thumbup2 clap clap I Am Not Worthy I Am Not Worthy

It was a fun journey, from the first year with GPLBR, returning after some 20 years, getting the feeling back step by step and still going.
Thanks for the hard work Phil and everyone involved keeping UKGPL and GPL alive  I Am Not Worthy
