Finally got my connection issues sorted, it appeared that my PC didn't consider twirling a wheel and pressing pedals as activity and was going into Sleep Mode every 15 mins. So have reset Sleep More to 2 Hrs and also gave the mouse a nudge every 10 mins to be sure.

Came here with no practice and stuck in my Sandown set up, bottom 4 gears were OK, so just ran with that. Ran onto the grass on L2 and was recovering nicely, when Evil decided to tend the lawn as well, stuck me close to the back of the field , chased Fulvio until he ran wide on the last turn and I got my nose ahead, then we touched when I braked into T1. Got stuck in the bales three times after that and had to reverse out, so firmly last, but was catching Fulvio at 1 sec per lap and with about 10 to go he ran wide in the slow hairpin and I got through. Set off after the next car , AnGex, and it looked like it could be a close last lap until a spin lost me time so that was that. Just delighted to get a full race once again.

Joined to check my connection issues so, just grabbed my Monza se-up and did enough to stay at the back of the grid, managed to avoid several spinners as the race progressed, had a few laps with Arf, as he mentioned, then a few more with Tom, until right on cue, my screen went black as I crossed the line on lap 11, so disco'd at that point. I have reinstalled McAfee, it is recognising Igor as an excluded file now, but disabled it last night to be sure, but still got the black screen which stays for about 10 secs, before you see the car & track again. Disappointing.

Hmm......I think this track is for Hot lapping , though very pretty, I think the older version of Sandown produces better racing and passing opportunities, had some good races there with ADC in year past.

Anyway onto last night, I decided onto to qualify to avoid the T1-T2 bunch up, got onto a decent pace and was following the two cars in front until they had the inevitable touch and both left the track, was then trying to close the gap to the car in front until 12 laps in I had my first black screen, it last for about 10 secs and the secondary issue is that you can't use Shift-R when the screen comes back, so I was stuck in a fence and it took another 10 secs or more to extract myself. The black screen happened twice more in similar time gaps with more issues getting back on track.

This issue has started since for some reason McAfee will no longer recognise Igor as a permitted programme, I have reinstalled Igor several times and refreshed the link in McAfee, but it still does the same. I turn Live Scanning off which lets me activate Igor but the Black Screens, seem to just happen in the race, not Qually.

Anyway I stayed on to the end, didn't hit anyone and enjoyed my Hot lapping, but a bit piffed to end up 2 laps down with all the issues.

Black screen of death again, ended up stuck behind a wall and it wouldn't Shift-R. Pity I was enjoying that

It was fun but had a couple of issues unfortunately.

L1 on the run into Lesmo the BRM in front of me had a moment under braking so I went to the inside to avoid, ran up the kerbs , back onto the track, had just got it all sorted when got tagged and spun, so all Hell then seemed to happen as Loti, Brabs and Fezzas all bounced off me and the guard rails. Amazingly the little 65 still had 4 wheels pointing in the right direction so was able to continue.

I had 2 black screens, both just as I turned into Lesmo, the screen was blank for 5 secs or more before it returned, this didn't happen in offline running and as it occurred in exactly the same spot each time I can only assume it has something to do with my set up and its interaction to the server. Any ideas?  This hasn't happened in any other UKGPL races.

Can you clarify the Qualifying, in your opening remarks you said your opponents will be watching from the pits, so are we all doing solo runs? If so that will take 3 mins a driver. If its open qualy then its up to who tows their mate round. So what's the deal?

Yeah, I'm going 1.2 secs slower on this layout than the Papy one, 1.37.8 seems to be may mark on Monza 67
