I spent some time ogling this last night and if it drives as good as it looks, it will be very exciting. The first few comments over at the No Grip thread seem encouraging, but with my recent discovery of NKPro my expectations of a sim are now totally different from what they were previously.

Not sure if I'm ready to commit time and money to what is currently little more than a development project  Undecided

Sounds like NFS SHIFT, is it any better/different as SHIFT and SHIFT 2 were backwards steps from GTR2? Does it get close to iRacing's handling?

Sounds like their going to get decent content but who will get Oulton out first? iR? Lol

Dont like the fact you have to sign up before seeing what the prices are. Does sound like though you look at particular packages so not sure how they break it all down.

So has anyone had a go yet to provide a review of the handling?

It's worth the €10 to give it a try imo.
Pretty good, especially that 68 open wheeler.

How does it compare to GTR2, rFactor and iRacing?

I must admit to trying the latest NK and I have to say I was not at all impressed and deleted it two days later. Still feels like it was knocked up in the garage. Sorry, just my opinion.

I'd say it's a definate improvement on GTR, rFactor and GT Legends in ever area ( first time I fired it up it somehow had a kind of GT Legends feel to the game) , best sounds I have heard in a racer, visuals are very good as well. ffb is not as good as iR's atm. You can see it has a lot of potential and it's good fun even at this early stage.

I'm not sure that's a fair question yet Shark. The whole thing is in development and not due for completion for 12 months or more. However having said that today's build is meant to contain some code that helps FFB and controller lagging. If you're expecting it to be as good as any of the 'completed' games out there you'll easily find something to criticise, be disappointed and bin it. This is a journey my friend Smiley

Lol...NK is certainly quirky, but I'd be more than happy if CARS or any other of the upcoming sims ended up with the same quality of physics and feel.

I know nothing about the history of CARS, but can't help thinking its launch at this time is aimed at getting as many as possible signed up before they all rush out to get rF2 and start racing it online. Looking at the level of interest generated so far, it's clear that simworld is desperate for something new and better than before. The cynic in me says that CARS are cashing in on this....not meaning to criticise, because it makes good business sense.

From what I've read, the existing physics engine is going to change anyway somewhere down the line.
