I'm not qualified to gauge the technical bits but this has fun elements that appeal to me. The elevation changes are the best I've come across in any sim. The Belgium Forest version of Eau Rouge is epic as you stare into the sky. And the drawing distances, which appear huge to me, make it feel very real. Also looks great to me. Getting a new version every couple of weeks is exciting. A new present every couple of weeks for 10 euros The Cateram is like not other sim version I've tried. When you get in a tank slapper its very, very difficult to get it outta of it unlike other sims. It could be vague as Shark suggests or maybe realistic? I've honestly got no idea but this makes me feel human where other sims can make you feel like a driving god. I quite like being hit around the head occasionally. Less fun is the lack of opponents, no online racing is a let down, and lack of 'normal' features so far. Bear in mind this is all very beta. Some fun and pleasant suprises to be had

What you do in the privacy of your own home is of no concern to us sim racers

The first time I tried the hill climb I was blown away by the feeling I got of the different elevations. The only car I really enjoy driving in the game at the moment is the Leonus F68 Cromwell, the others feel a little dead or too quick or just leave me feeling cold at this stage.

It does have G-Force simulation . Basically the view moves around a bit when you're in cockpit view.

To get rid of the fishtailing you have to calibrate your wheel 'in game'. Works for my G25.

Just an update for those who haven't got round to this yet.
If this title keeps up the progress shown in pre alpha I think it could be a winner.
I already think the graphics are stunning but the team have been working on the FFB and have made some real strides in the last few builds.
Now I hope they might concentrate on the UI.
Worth a look

Gotta agree this looks great now, a good leap from the older sim generation in that respect. Left me wondering why RF2 hasn't made that leap :'( See the UI has been tweaked in latest release, just dl'ing now.

I must try this again sometime. It was totally undriveable on my system when I last tried it a couple of months ago.

Tried the new build, doesn't seem much different to me. Lag is still there, graphics still slow, basically looks like the menus have been updated and that's it.

See Donington, Road America and Le Mans to be added.
And still to come laser scanned Oulton, Brands, Cadwell and Snetterton.
I'm liking this more and more.

Yeah but if the basic driving model isn't very good they could have all the tracks in the world and it still wouldn't be good. The driving model still has nasty lag even with the latest build I tried and it still feels like the cars pivot in the wrong place.

Can't agree Shark. Think the driving is great with no lag and don't understand "slow graphic" And definitely not as twitchy and slidey as iRacing
Have you signed up and do you pass these comments on to the developers to make things better?
And still 12 months development to come

I have the cheapest 10 euro version, so get an update once a month, so got the last one not long ago. The cars are extremely unresponsive in CARS and don't respond to you changing direction until after the fact when it's too late. I'm interested to see where it's going as if they fix the problems with laggy steering and can speed up the graphics enough for triple screen rendering then it could be good.
