I do find the porsche tricky to get working, i kept loosing the back going through that off camber righthander after the long left i ended up lengthing the gearing, reduce the ARB and increase the dampers. Was running 3-13 but you just need seat time to know how quick you can go in them, I seemed to be carrying more speed through the first corner than everyone else but a few times ended up braking too much and going off which ruined what could have been a better race for me.

Interesting trying to pass people round here, though it was more about trying to be careful around others, was a few dodgy moments as other got it a bit wrong in the chicane Shocked

Got a bit distracted on my in lap and misjudged how soon the pit entry appeared and quickly i was gaining on Rob who was going in at the time! Shocked  Managed to get round and go in the next lap!

Bit surprised how close the fastest laps were. Who said the Lola was slow hey Huh

Yup, in this race the gap in term of best lap was really close, probably cause this track is even too short. I had a couple of laps in which I could do 45.1, but I didn't force my pace during all the race. Was just trying to manage a safe pace, avoiding to do useless hotlaps. However it was really difficult to find a lap without some traffic on my way. Don't know if someone changed the tyres at the pit, cause it could be helpful to rejoin the track with new tyres and low fuel to do better laptimes. In any case, Lola was more competitive here than in other circuits til now, or maybe TT and H@l, are just starting to understand better that car Wink

Sorry MJ for my pit exit... the least I could do was waiting you... When I saw you had swithched on/off your lights I interpreted that sign like "don't worry... go go go" Smiley
However I was driving with 3/12 wings, and I guess with softest springs possible.

Strangely uneventful race for me.

Only tried these cars out for the first time yesterday so just went for the default setup for this one with small changes to gears and steering lock.

I found qualifying very testing, making a lot of mistakes and was happy with P8 overall. Having no real pace or experience with the car I decided to just ease myself into the race and not take any risks. In the first half I was lucky that due to other peoples incidents I built up a reasonable gap to those behind which took the pressure off. In the second half I started to finally get some more feel for the car and get onto the pace.

Delighted with P3 in the end. Although a little bit lucky as I was not particularly quick or consistent.

Grats to TT and Goldtop. Glad we can now move away from this track.  Grin
