Needless question, Dragon06, welcome. Thanks for consolation, guys. Maybe it's just the weather. See you all tonight.

1:17.9 after much hard work The chances of me making it round 10 laps without a major spin are ZERO! Pops

Well that was fun. Had a good first race, beat my pb by 2 secs which wasnt hard, lol. Good battle with sbg and adam. Crap second race, got spun and hit a stationary car, no idea who it was, not to worry. See you all tomorrow.

Enjoyed tonight, cheers guys. Managed to avoid all the first lap incidents, and was then fighting to keep people behind me, had some good scraps. 2nd race wasn't quite so good due to the reduced numbers, and I was smoking the tyres the whole way round so I wasn't really competitive.
Right...now where's my escort...looking forward to the 8th.

yes there was lots of numpty ramming going on, on my first qualy run out i was hit by no less than 3 different people just bashing me off the track Didnt enjoy racing the Jag without any good practise or setup, it doesnt like turns does it I guess by the amount of people that bailed early it wasnt too popular all round

That was a blast. First race I qualified 3rd, behind Franky and s!d (nice times guys). Luckily I had a rocket start and overtook them before turn 1, where there was carnage I heard. After 6 laps I burned my tyres so I had to calm down, but my lead was big enough to win the race. The second race just started with no qualification. But again I started 3rd, and again I had a good start and took first place. After 5 laps I made a mistake and spun the car just before the long straight, probably the dumbest place to lose it. At that point I never thought I'd get close to winning. But in the last lap I was 1.8s behind Edamspeed, and at the end of the last lap I was in his slipstream....but just finished 0:00.008 behind Edamspeed. But second isn't bad, just not the best . Hope to be able to join your league guys, see ya on the track.

Good fun, but a bit of a mess. Lap 1 of the first race was a bit of a demolition derby. 2nd race there was suddenly a stationary car in front of me a few corners in, did someone have a CTD? In the ensuing pile-up I was flipped more times than a pancake on shrove tuesday. Didn't seem to do any damage to the car though. Think I finished 6th in both races.
A quick reminder. Please do not type any chat while the race is in progress, it's very distracting. Also, please wait for the other drivers to finish before chatting after the race.
Think we had 21 cars on track at one point, which is the most we've had on the server.

My first race was a disaster, I think I qualified 6th, and got a lousy start, bumping me down to 11th or so. Battled back to 8th, but it was a bit scrappy. 2nd race was a bit better, started 6th, and made my way up to 3rd, after I got past a few, and a few fell off. Then dived past Dave under brakes (who was beginning to over heat his tyres), and then Ruskus (who had earlier spun down to 4th whilst in the lead) started to gain heaps on me when my tyres started to overheat (plus, he's much faster than me, being an alien ). On the last lap he caught me, and we crossed the line pretty much together. I got the nod by 0.008 seconds Replay of 2nd race is hosted here: http://edam.accelerator.org/Dijon-Prenois%20Short_060105_2112.VcrStrangely, it's missing the 1st couple of laps, and the replay of the first race is only about 20 seconds long. Must have run out of memory or something. Oh well.

it doesnt like turns does it Depends on whether you're steering with the wheel or the throttle. The latter is more effective... and more fun. Made a bit of a hash of qualifying in the first race; bumped someone off trying to muscle my way by, sorry. Got into the 1:16s with a tow but then repeated it in clear air, taking a whole second off my PB, was happy with that. Got a good initial start but then had nowhere to go - that grid wasn't half tightly spaced! Got a 1:16.5 in the race - very happy with that after getting nowhere near it in a brief practice session earlier today - and a good finishing position too. Second race started well, managed to get an absolute flyer off the line and forced my way up the middle of the row in front and into 3 rd place. S!d had a monster accident in front of me, flipping over several times, which gave me second, with Ruskus ahead until he spun and I took the lead. I then melted my tyres, EdamSpeed drafting past, and Ruskus (who was frighteningly fast) also getting back past without fuss. I was smoking the tyres the whole way round so I wasn't really competitive.
I was a mobile smoke machine too - the tyres last about 5 laps like that - but I still managed to finish within 3 seconds of the leader.

To finish first, first you must have fins.

All the GTR and GTL client replays come out like that. Hopefully we'll get a server replay which should be complete.

Actually, that's a first for me - if you look at the other replays on my site, they're complete, from lining up on the grid to parking in the pits. Odd. Anyway, here's a little photo of the finish line
