I thought group masochism was all part of the appeal?
just imagine you are steering a coal barge down the Shropshire union without
the scenery, and it will be fun!  Roll Eyes

Just managed to sneak an hour testing these cars and they are even worse than I remember  Roll Eyes

No ethusiasm here for this series I'm afraid, despite a great selection of tracks. Unless of course V3 comes out and they manage to produce more believable physics. In the meantime I'll be giving it a miss  Sad

Come on Tudor!

Just sign on the dotted line and we have a sweet handling Mustang just begging to be drifted through the corners.   Grin

Back from the Dolomites just a few mins ago... I will try to make some laps later, and hopefully I will be able to race for the start of the season!

That brings back nasty memories.

I think that the Triumph Dolomite was worse than Tony's beloved Allegro!

Glad you made it back Manteos.

Connection lost after 2 laps, but I was experiencing some troubles even during the practice. At the start I had a couple of freeze screen and I hopeful avoided Clive's car. After that all the other cars disappeared. Don't know what was going on with my connection. Sorry if I damaged someone Sad

Hope to be luckier for the next. Cu Smiley

LOL .... thought the race was 42 laps long, that was my reason for picking the Falcon ....  Hit with a wet fish

Probably wouldn't have changed anything though, I must say I had a very boring race once Mark has passed me on lap 3 or 4.

I was never near anybody for the rest of the race :'(  I hope more racers will join next race  Grin

Congrats to the podium

Due to the narrowness of the track I had to wait for ol' Mr Jonzo to awaken before I could get going  Wink

Then I must of gone off somewhere because the next thing I remember was MJ warping badly in front of me. Some laps on and Manteos is sideways across the track. I go towards his rear as I figure he's going to move forward. BAM, he didn't. Read his report above and it seems he disco'ed.

Then I remember lap after lap following Alex with Eifel someway behind me. My front left was bright red on xd and my Falcon was getting slower and slower. Alex sped of and Eifel caught me. Short battle and I succumbed and settled back to finish.

Nice race but these cars on a shortish circuit can be a challenge. Now we have some great circuits upcoming so we should be able to open these beasts up a bit.

Congrats John (again)

EDIT: I really do need to watch the replay  Roll Eyes

odd my car was warping but i did see some 'game syncing' messages come up in first few laps. My connection is usually rock solid but we had trees and power lines down last night in the winds, and no power for 8+ hours, so that probably had a knock on effect. Its windy up here in these hills !  Tongue

Like this track, but these lumbering beasts were hard work on it, particularly for braking at the end of the back straight. I was starting to brake almost half way down it !

Had a good early chase with Matt and Hotkeys, then a few laps chasing HK on his own, but i did smack his rear end when he had a bit of a coming together with Matt at the end of that straight, so sorry for that. Nearly hit him even harder the following lap but i threw myself onto the grass to avoid contact! Then HK fell off next lap and i squeezed past and pulled out a gap to have a lonely rest of race finishing about 40+ secs ahead of rest behind. Finished 4th, so not bad  Smiley

Wheres all the regular P&G'ers gone? No Bill, Ade, Pribeiro etc   Huh It was lonely out there !  :'(

Bill's not been around since Le Mans, Ade has hardware troubles and as for Pribero............disappeared without trace (I think his cats ate him?)

Sorry Tony Sad  I just checked the replay, and it's clear that I had some connection issues... I should have quit the race when the cars near me disappeared. It was my fault, and I ruined your race Sad Forgive me Smiley

No probs Mate. I think my race was ruined when my garage gave me the wrong front tyres  Wink

Was having a great time chasing Clive until I put a rear left onto the kerb going onto the back straight
took an age of ice dancing to get back on the track, after that fell off a bit a couple of times
but managed to stay ahead of MJ to the end. I took the option tyres, not sure whether they were harder
or not, ended the race with about 1/4 left on the front left.

I must confess that I'm not a fan of the muscle cars in P&G (or GTL for that matter). I've tried the Mustangs a few times before, but always was always left frustrated at their lack of ability to do those simple things like 'go round corners' and 'slow down' Grin

Quite a bit of setup work later and it's not too bad once you get used to it. Still a lot of work required to wrestle it round the track in a reasonable time though.

Very respectable pace from Clive in second & grats also to Matt for the podium thumbup1. Shame about Manteos though Sad

See you next week in something a bit more civilised!

Found this nice little feature on last nights circuit.

http://www.etracksonline.co.uk/Features/stories/canadaspioneer.html

Well worth a look

EDIT: It's a shame that so many of N.America's great circuits are now lost to golf courses or housing estates  Sad
