Not been racing much this year but just wondering if there any plans for i8e? I am just about to buy some content and was going to get the Ford GT and HPD to go with Oulton. Are you likely to continue using them in season 8, presuming a season 8 is planned??

My intention was to stick with the cars - yes.

That said - I really could do with standing down as the director, having a meaningful job means I've had to start doing work during the day rather than doing anything but ...

Hope we do get an i8e season, ignoring the last race attendance (as it was at a roval), it seemed i7e was a big hit!

I think it was mentioned last time by someone else, but please can I ask again, can we move the start time back to maybe 8pm?

An 8pm race will mean I should be able to attend 7 of 8 races, while a 7:30pm race start means I'll be lucky to attend 2 or 3. The early start just rules me (& probably some others) out due to real life commitments (in my case, that means I'm still knee deep in kids at that time). 8pm on a sunday is just less intrusive, particularly for people with family commitments (read: partners/kids who don't understand why dad drives the dining table laugh) or, I heard tale of a few drivers who still have something called a 'social life' Shocked laugh

I'd agree on the start time, Sunday's aren't great for me as I've mentioned before but the earlier time pretty much counts me out hence why I didn't do any of i7e

My vote would be for allowing the Vette's in again to have a three car choice again.

I was going to try to race in the official series but after attempting two races and achieving a total of just over 1 lap of racing from both races before being taken out I'm back to the opinion that the official series is not for me.

Yep - the later start time would be my choice too - having tried the earlier one, whilst it may have allowed a couple of people to race that might otherwise not have done, it proved to make things very difficult for some folk (me included).

I'd be hesitant to throw another class in if the existing two are particularly well subscribed though.  I guess put it to the vote and see what the consensus of oppinion is?

I guess my thinking was that you'd be able to pull more people in who were also running the Vette in the Official Mixed Class GT's - I probably wouldn't drive it but thought it might help rather than hinder.

Just my £0.02 and I could well be wrong, according to the missus I usually am! Grin

Later would be fine by me, gives me more of a chance to get back from places if we've been out on a Sunday, although it was nice finishing earlier and then having a chance to watch the NFL. Grin

I think having 3 classes is more likely to dilute the field, but I don't mind either way. I'll probably run the HPD again as I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I don't know what everyone else's thoughts are, but I'd be inclined to start it in the new year, advertising for the next couple of weeks.

I have done NO iRacing since the league season ended so I'd be happy for it to start this week. Grin

After missing last season, I am going to compete (Keep the back of the grid full) next season so looking forward to it starting as well.

I think starting after the New Year is a good idea as it gets the holiday season out of the way.

Any hint what cars will be used?

It seems a bit of shame to leave it till Jan, that would mean a two month gap since the last event, but sticking a race on this/next weekend would mean one round then a blank week for xmas/new year.

Or we up it to every week rather than every two weeks (which is such a long time!) Wink
