Is there any seasonal car enforcement in this series or free for all? I always think we should pick a car and do the season with it. As you know what happens...big v8's for fast tracks, Alfas for twisties  Roll Eyes. I would make whoever takes a Stang for somewhere like Snett, also has to use it somewhere tight and narrow  Evil
Or maybe make it be used for 2 or 3 rounds consecutively before another car change? It would have the advantage of narrowing down the performance window whilst also helping drivers become more familiarised/handy with that particular car.
Would be right with the spirit of a P&G touring car season  Smiley
just my two cents...ignore as usual  Wink

Do you never look here for details of future races?
Nice idea MJ. Let me have a think on it.

MJ your idea is growing on me  Smiley

In fact I'm going to incorporate it into this series, thanks for the input  thumbup1

Watch for a revision to the race announcement!  yes

aha! scorn and praise in the same response...i like it  Grin

I wouldnt want to put off anyone from attending though, with these dark days of empty sim grids  :'(, so if people feel that strongly that they should always choose the racing winning car, then so be it. Its just not 'British'  euro  Wink

One other thing, while i'm on a roll  Tongue  It would also be beneficial to the racing if we always excluded variants of a car that are out of sync timeline wise with the rest of the cars available. ie if 2 or 3 of the cars are '65 vintage, dont allow a '68 version of it (or another car type) to be chosen. 2-3years evolution of a race car is normally a heck of an advantage! Better tyres, better handling, more bhp etc. It seems a no-brainer, but we've always allowed it to happen, and the net result is drivers will always pick the newest car as they know it has an advantage. (like the white/orange stripe e-type, white z06 etc).

Since the Alfa is better in the wet than the Cortina and the Mustangs steer like boats even before it rains; the only logical choice is the Alfa.

So if I make it, look for the big red TransAm.

Scorn? No surely not  Wink I think I'll keep the car choices as is for the time being MJ. I know what you mean regarding some cars having a better setup/tyre choice etc but I'm happy to let drivers choose what they want. Are there that many cars in the Gr.2 catagory that your comments would apply to?

no i was thinking more of the other classes with my second point.

I hope that drivers still take their car of choice and now dont all jump into the Alfa as its possibly the best all rounder? Ya cant win, can ya really? Ah well, we try.
(also might add, being married to an Italian and an Alfa (as well as 911 Smiley ) owner, i might also be obliged to take an Alfa as i love 'em, but then always have a soft spot for the Mk1 Cortinas too  Cool

There is a 1275 Mini that fits the bill. It's the yellow Britax one that Ade always takes. We'll barr that'un.

I like the restricted car choice Smiley In any case, I will have to jump this race, and my champ will start from Donington Knockhill;)

This is the Mustang's model in which I feel more comfortable  Grin Grin I don't know if it's allow to drive with these one  Grin

Since I'll be away skiing during the Knockhill round, the logical choice for Snetterton & Donnington is the Mustang. I'll probably be in the Alfa Smiley

John, you should be given a wheelbarrow instead to slow you down a bit !  Tongue Likewise, insisting Manteos wears those ski's whilst driving may slow him a tad too  Grin

Glad others like the restricted car choice too  Smiley

Tony/Matt, did you advertise the new series elsewhere too? No-grip/other race leagues etc? Worth a punt. I know many p&G drivers seem to check in to the No-grip P&G forum regularly...looking for news of the mythical P&G3  :'(

Yes, but not with any great success. Some sites no longer run P&G at all.

We would certainly appreciate anyone posting on our behalf if you happen to be visiting other sim-racing sites please  yes
