Complete new track for me - thought it's located in Italy  Roll Eyes  ban.

Could improve from 1.20 to 1.13.9  scared in the 970 so far.
Started with shortest gearing and slaughtered the engine after 4 or 5 laps  oops

Would like to have more choices concerning gearing.

CU tomorrow night.

I can't get the link to the track to work.  It wants to send an error message to Microsoft!

Had a look at No Grip but they only have V1.

Any other ideas?

I put it here Clive: https://www.yousendit.com/download/M3BsM25NQ1BCTWtsYzlVag
and Gamefront works fine by me: http://www.gamefront.com/files/20957710

Let me know, if none of these work.

Just tried the 970 and no gearing issues for me?  hardly used 4th. You on the right circuit?

Does anyone have any special recommendations on how to take the most speed trough the more challenging corners 3, 4 and 5??

As Stig said, try to use engine braking. Dab of brakes to get it turned in and let it coast until it's settled, then hard on the brakes in a straight line towards the outside of the last corner. Aim to take a very late apex on the way out, as it'll understeer off track otherwise.

Had the same issue. Seems like gamefront links do not work any more with IE8 (still using XP SP3) - at least with me,
but works perfectly with Firefox11.

Started with that long gearing too, hardly using the 4th but was far too slow with it. So I shortended gearing
to shortest possible which caused damage due to engine breaking after some laps. A middle gearing seems to
fit better now but I would like to have especially a longer first gear.

Well neither of my PCs would have anything to do with it.

It caused Internet Explorer to close down.

This machine seems to be trying to open facebook, which is strange!

Bill has sometimes had something similar happen; do you have Norton bloatware installed?

With me it's both Norton Internet Security and Explorer - they both seem to work on number of downloads, because our numbers are relatively small they rate the site as a risk and refuse to download from them.

You have to keep trying over a period of time, eventually both gave me the option (having told me it's a major risk) to ignore their advice and open it anyway.  I went through a period where Tony and others, where possible, gave me the link to the original track site - Nogrip or that German site I can't remember the name of.  Eventually because I kept trying to down load from our site it gave option.

Oddly enough  Huh I find the highest gear ratio gives me quickest time using lots of 2nd and first gear with 3rd momentarily used on straights.  Now into the 1:09s.  Roll Eyes Cool

LOL ..... did you really think, that I could go faster than John in the same car ?  lol lol

I sometimes get below 1.06 with race setup, and I managed a one off 1.05.500 on low fuel and soft tyres.
I'm convinced however, that John could go at least 1 sec faster, maybe more in the 1275.... easy !

My hope for tonight will be not to have to many   oops oops oops oops
