when you say make sure your IP Lobby.txt has that ip address in it, is that all? Do we delete out the line saying gtr2server...blah blah?

No other text than the ip address given at top of page?

Just 91.121.102.7 is correct, and put it in the 'LOCAL_IP_BACKUP_LOBBY' folder as well ... if you've got one

You may have to re-register or/ and or change your name

As above - All that should appear in the IPlobby.txt file is 91.121.102.7
If you havn't used pilsbeerdude server before then you will have to register, you can probably use the same name you did before on the simbin server, don't think they talk to each other  Smiley

Brands is always enough to drive myself to despair  Huh

Completey lost motivation because I wasn't able to manage Paddock Hill Bend
on a proper line. Thought after practice and qualy that I improved a bit but that
seemed to be a deception.

Good turnout this time  thumbup1

See you next week.

Will have some fun watching this on saturday:

'Kent Messenger' headline....Local Kent boy comes good and bags 2nd place on the podium Grin

That was a pleasant return after a month+ abstinance of sim racing  Smiley

Got 2nd on the grid.

Got mugged off the startline for the race and dropped to 3rd or 4th, followed by a gentle nudge up at Druids. But then i got free of the pack and chased down Clive and John who had sprinted off up the road. Took a couple of laps to close on Clive and then had a thrilling 6-8 laps battling to get past him. I could tell i was quicker in a few of the corners but i couldnt get past until Clive did what i did a lap or so earlier and got a little off line heading into Paddock bend. That was my chance and i scooted by.
I gradually built up a decent lead over Clive and Stig, made no errors, and headed home for the chequered flag, finishing 2nd behind the rapid John  Cool

Replay and results now posted

NOTE: The replay clearly shows Mark J drove the wrong class of Mustang in this event and has thus been disqualified.

Well done Mark, you drove a good race.

Just trying to figure out what you were doing in a TransAM

i think a DQ is a bit harsh  Angry after 5 weeks away and finding a new lobby & IP was being used, i was grateful just to get in. The mustang was there on the car list and i just took it knowing i had used a stang when last i raced in this series. Nobody piped up in practise or qually despite there being only 8 cars present so i had no idea i was in the wrong version of the mustang and would have happily swapped it. Surely the TA isnt supremely better than whatever the other version is anyway?..especially in my hands!
My decent performance here came from keeping it clean without even getting a wheel off and knowing my local track so well, having done umpteen track days on it. At the very least i would still have been duking it out with clive and stig some 15 secs further behind where i finished!

Hard luck Mark.

I enjoyed our battle and since I knew that my only chance of a podium was for one of the two TransAMs to take an early bath, I made it as difficult as I could. devil

When Stig showed me his nose I did my best to let him through without contact and then settled down to plod out the laps hoping that one of you would bin it.

Over the last few laps I came across the "Tina Turners", Alex and Tony, slogging it out and so hung back so that they could settle it between them.  Grats Tony.

Grats to John and Stig also.

My place at the top of the table will be largely determined by how many flybynights in fast cars appear over the last few rounds.

Thanks Clive. My battle with Alex lasted for the entire race, one way or another. He would pass me and shoot off, I would catch and try to pass. We both made errors and this allowed the other to catch or pass. Made for some interesting laps and the time flew by. Respect to Alex for consistent, clean racing with no contact between us (I think).
Round two at Mallory Alex, hope you can make it.

followed by a gentle nudge up at Druids.
I think that was me, didn't slow as much as I'd expected behind the pack and then to stayed wider than I was expecting  Grin
I stayed behind you as didn't really want to claim the spot through pushing you out of the way - Superswift promptly dived at the opportunity and got us both!

I had a terrible race - decided to gamble on a setup and it really didn't pay off. The car was frankly terrible throughout the race and I just couldn't get any consistancy.
Next time out I'll go back to one of my trusty tail happy setups instead of trying to make something that looks after the rear tires!

Yes, that was a good battle. We both had our strong and weak parts of the track enabling to close up. Race was fierce but fair and the WORKshop reported no major dents  Grin
Last lap I tried to 'manage the gap' like the pro's tend to do but this resulted Tony to get on my back bumper in two corners! So much for racing strategies.. last lap must have been a flying one
Normally I don't 'get' Brands. Corners all seem to be different as the look like so I was expecting lonely race. Actually learned some stuff from the fight so I am happy despite being overtaken in the last corner  Embarrassed

Deserved victory WT.

Round two at Mallory Alex, hope you can make it.
Hope so. Alternating between PnG and Le Mans 50-ies series at the moment. But I am certain me meet again

Over the last few laps I came across the "Tina Turners", Alex and Tony, slogging it out and so hung back so that they could settle it between them.  Grats Tony.
Much appreciated. Always have to take the lappers into account when fiercely battling for last place.
This enabled to go 'flat out' on the last lap (don't laugh).

Thanks Alex.

Great drive by John, ignoring lap one, he only did two laps that were slower than my best!  And that was only by a sliver!
