incidentally, Tonys post over at No-grip for the new P&G seasons had 203 views last time i looked. (I updated it to mention this weeks US race). You would think that would attract a few racers out of that 203 people! We had one new face last week!   Huh

Re times, ive seen a westlake do a 1:17 in the AI's hands at 115%, but i was reasonably happy with my 1:18's (also done in low grip praccy1).

1.18.900 here, but that was a one-off, and even if I could, I wouldn't try to play with the big boys here. I find this track narrow, tricky, and I keep getting 'lost in transmission'  Wink

narrow? really?

I didn't realise that there was a grip diference between praccy/qually/race session's. Is this true?

John, would you give me a good laptime to aim for in the NTK, please? (With race fuel)

Sure, I've managed 1:18.0 in offline practice and timetrial with 10 laps of fuel onboard. Haven't tried with race fuel yet. I was about 1 second slower with the falcon Sprint.

I didn't realise that there was a grip diference between praccy/qually/race session's. Is this true?

Yes, I believe it differs slightly between most of the sessions, both offline and online. IIRC there's more grip in timetrial, not sure about the rest. There was a post about it on one of the other forums a while ago, I expect the GTR2 guys here will know the details.

I'm always a bit slower in Practice 1 session than in Practice 2, in which my laptimes are much closer to the warm up/race session laptimes.

Regarding qualif sessions, I'm always faster in qualif 1 session, but it's not only me. In Italy we use to do the qualif. in qualif. 1 session, and at the same time we use to train with race setup in practice 2 or quali 2 session, never in Practice 1... we use to vote and skip it very fastly  Grin

P.S. Thx for the answer John Smiley

Same here, and 1.20.2 in the ATCC Mustang  Cool but in the 1.18's with my favorite car at the moment - a little Simca CG 1200S !!

Could improve to 1.19.6 in the ATCC Mustang so far. I think that will be my choice for tomorrow.

I don't think that people should get too hung up on lap times.  Those quoted only relate to qualifying.

Keeping on the grey bit for the whole race will be more important and the tyres on the NTK give of their best somewhere just after it is wheeled out of scrutineering!

I tried that Time trial part of P&G last night. I thought it was really good and certainly made for a more interesting praccy season. Wish I'd found that out before  Roll Eyes

Is that an online or offline lap time MJ? Full tank or qualy fuel?

I tried other 10 mins yesterday evening, but I dislike to drive alone on the server, so after I discovered that I was stucked into the low 19's in race trim, I quitted the server. Probably I could get into the high 18's with a lighter car after some laps, but I'm not sure of it.
No qualif lap times yet, but I guess I will be on low 18's... who knows  Smiley

It was offline Manteos, 1st praccy sesh with 15mins of fuel onboard. I did mid 18's with 40min fuel load and yellow spot (medium) tyres.

Clive, as it goes i hardly run low fuel runs as much these days as i prefer to maximise my little spare time by testing a race setup, especially for P&G racing. But being a bit rubbish with US muscle cars i tried qually runs this time to gauge my pace. Smiley  Running both modes was useful for tyre choice too as i hadnt known the mustang would cream a set of white spots within a few laps, not to mention  my praccy upto last night had used Goodyear tyres, not Dunlops  Tongue

Just started doing some practice - my PC crashed though after a few laps which is unusual in GTR2.
Hoping it survives the race as it seems a good fun circuit in these tanks Cheesy

Roughly 1:18's on race fuel and tyres in the Mann here. Daresay the fuel is too high as I was literally in the middle of calculating fuel use when it died  Roll Eyes

At the third spin I decided to go back and watch the football match... It was not funny at all with this car without a decent setup.
