Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here, 2.1 patch from here and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

This is a superb track, one of my worldwide faves  Cool

Thought i'd have a quick recon in the Mustang thinking it will be an ugly understeering mess here, but was pleasantly surprised, as the pace is a bit more sedate, making it more manageable. Faster cars are harder work here as easy to get a wheel off in the sand.

Only did 9 laps, mainly to check tyre pressures and camber.  1:49.1 so far.  Smiley  Front right appears to take some punishment. (sure it was front left at Portland !?)

Nothing to compare it against, so roll out your times...   detective

If you really want an understeery heap then try the Falcon Sprint.

1:49.1 in it but not likely to use it as the NTK feels much better.

The only advantage that the Falcon has over the Mustang is that they did actually fit it with brakes but I'm hard pressed to think of a track where that will make it a viable proposition.

I'm into the 45's in the NTK and the 46's in the Falcon Sprint, but there's not much more to come off of that.

1.47.600, in the Mustang NTK but it was a one off on low fuel, and I haven't been below 48 since.

I find the Falcon a bit easier to handle, but I'm a bit slower in it.

Holy sh..  Roll Eyes I knew from many races I watched in TV (Superbike, MotoGP,
IndyCar etc.) that Laguna especially the Corkscrew is one of the
most fascinating and most difficult corners/chicanes in motorsports - maybe
the most difficult, but nearly every lap ended there for me in a crash or at least
in a leaving of the track or a turner Huh

My best so far in the BSCC Mustang 1.53.6 and in the NTC and Falcon Mann
only 2.00.5  Sad.
Seems that the track is more suitable for smaller cars (could register a
1.48.7 in my beloved Simca Bertone 1200S  Cheesy which I used for some laps
for learning the track).

Is there anybody out there who can please help me out with a basic setup for
the Mustang and/or the Falcon which enables me to master the Corkscrew?
Any encouragement would be highly appreciated.
Thank you very much.

SKS, lift the throttle and dab the brakes before you crest the hill at the top. You will see tyre marks laid down just as you approach the crest towards the right side of track, thats your brake marker! That will take some of the speed & momentum out of your charge, and then give it some heavy braking in as much a straight line as you can, slowing the car right down for the corkscrew, which ive been taking in 1st in the heavy mustang!. Maybe up your front bump to 3 or more to help stop the car quicker.

Failing that pm me your email and i will buzz my NTK setup and a replay over  Smiley

edit..SKS, you have mail  Wink
