Run for your lives.... Good to have you back Oily. Do the cars lights come on at night or is it just the track lighting?

Run for your lives.... Good to have you back Oily. Do the cars lights come on at night or is it just the track lighting? I assume you have never done an iRacing night race? You are in for a treat then. The lights turn on automatically. While there is track lighting it doesn't cover all of the track. So you NEED your lights!!! So best stay away from the barriers.

Yeah Jim! This is not a Jetta race, I repeat NOT A JETTA RACE. You have to use your own brakes in these ones!

I always feel with these that i dont deserve to be there because i am so far off where i feel i should i spend most of the time trying to get out of peoples way, then not actually getting many practise laps in! But the first race was actually really good, i seemed to be reasonably up the grid and had quite a good race, actually with people! lol Wish i'd saved the replay to work out how Lazlow did that first corner and gained about 12 positions!
Second didnt last long, till the last corner when it seemd i got taken out by someone rejoining from the left and got bent steering. Didnt look forward to a longer race, being a lap down and on my own so gave up.
Thanks Darren, have actually enjoyed these mazdas this time round. Bit disapointed your sticking with the Caddys default tracks, i guess i'll miss mosport as I just cannot drive the place. Its hard to gauge the speed needed in the first section espcially and every lap is different for me.

I'm glad you enjoyed it spanner.
Regarding the Caddy Series... I'm mirroring the official series to try to avoid the chaos. Hopefully people have taken advantage of the official practise and race sessions over the last 4 weeks. IF this series is successful I'll change the tracks next season.
Don't give up on Mosport. Would a replay help you?

Lol, I gues i'll better do some practise beforehand! The week it got released put me off, and being mosport the first week, and that every official one I do results in me dropping SR and iR, very depressing.

I wasn't a big fan of the Caddy initially - but having spent some time with it I really like it now. T2 at Mosport just needs a bit of caution to be exercised, if you think you've slowed down too much and turned in too early ... chance are you've got it spot on . While I've had a couple of near misses at T2, it's T5/6 which causes more problems. I'd say stick with it ... once it clicks it's a really fun combination.

Well with everything going on at the moment i think i'll miss this anyway, need to do more practise for the 24hr race for one. Really need to start packing as well as i'll need to move sharpish when i find somewhere to rent near Basingstoke.
