Good fun that Grin got a wheel on the grass early on after druids lost it and stalled the engine, lost 2 places.
Think I should have took a full gear box Undecided only ran with three gears.

                                                     Cheers Ade

Fantastic race with Marco and Ade - we should have more wet races in Minis!  Grin
Shame I put a wheel on the grass while arguing over 2nd with Ade, we could have kept that battle going to the finish I suspect...

Yes.  Please organise a complete season of Mini races in the wet so that I can find something else to do!

I had a good battle with Solmyr but driving the Mini is totally unrewarding.  I was bored after one practice session and as a result I wandered off to find something else to do for the week.  As a result I had completely missed the fact that Tony was going to add some "light" rain.

Ade and Tim were miles faster than anything that I could manage and likely to remain so in the foreseeable future.

Grats Ade, Tim and Marco.

Thought that the race was good fun. Had a great start and after the first few laps the lead bunch were disappearing into the distance and I had a gaggle of cars behind me. Thought I'd made enough of a lead to keep the 1250cc boys behind me but as my tyres went off I started to slow and my lap times dropped. Still thought I could finish ahead of the three behind me but it was not to be. Well done Bill, good to see you take the flag.

Could be your setup Clive - I use one based on one I was given a year or so back as I couldn't get my head around mini's.

Yes Please Tim.

The one that I have I think came from Manteos when we did Cadwell.

I'm still unable to set and drive this little beast.

Some fun though, being under the pressure of Clive, who finally put me in 5th position.

Congrats to all drivers.

Thanks Tony - frustrating night.  Pleased with new PBs all round but too tired to concentrate - too many unforced errors. Thought I should have done much better with the 1275 car but just couldn't hang the laps together - each time I closed the gap and got within striking distance I'd run wide and have to start all over again. Minimal practice, know track and car but spent morning doing house work, getting things together for the off Friday, preparing for afternoon visitors - didn't know when to leave.  We only returned this afternoon, off again in about 10 days for 8 days coach tour around Scotland.
