Hard luck Matt, it happens to us all. I make a decent fist of the first corner on about one attempt in ten.

Love the track, but had a dull race again. Just cant stay anywhere near the front 4 and seem to be a country mile ahead of the backmarkers, which leaves me firmly in midfield no-mans land every race now. Clive shadowed me for a while like a u-boat, but then dropped back to about 15secs behind. I think the car selection needs a tweak to enable the midfielders to be a bit more competitive against the front runners personally.

................I think the car selection needs a tweak to enable the midfielders to be a bit more competitive against the front runners personally. You can't do anything about an alien in a fast car but whilst I do agree that the car "bands" would be better if they divided the field of, say, twelve cars instead of cattering for a full grid. However, you surely can't go messing with the structure of the season at this point when those of us in it for the long haul have all based our strategies on the existing rules? Or is it the fact that you just ran out of Mustangs? Up to mid-distance I was hanging on to you but then either you put the hammer down or my tyres started to die. You will find out about that next race! I was on the rims at the finish.

thats the problem Clive, its a small grid. I did well in the early rounds with better machinery but i lack the alien skills to peddle the Tugboat that is the NTK mustang, any quicker and the last few rounds have been lonely grinds. By merely competing in every round and finishing anything from 5th to 7th, i find myself 4th in the table and hence forced into the NTK, but if you look at the actual races i am finishing about 40secs to 1 minute behind the top 4 and 1 minute ahead of the backmarkers ! Its hard to stay motivated for 50minutes dragging these heavy brutes around on your tod with nobody racing you and im beginning to loathe turning up (as some already have and disapeared). I want action & racing, not lonely hotlapping....got iR for that I think the grid is divided into 3 distinct groups of regular P&G'ers at the moment. 4 aliens, 3-4 midfield and 3-4 tail end charlies. Just thought that maybe allowing the non-aliens to step up one class of Stang or Falcon might enhance the racing but no easy fix for sure. Think i'll take a Falcon next time even though i hate the real cars! They must be quicker than the NTK as all the aliens are choosing them Anyone got a good Falcon setup? Never driven it!

You have used up all your Mustang drives MJ so it's Hobsons choice I'm afraid.
And I have no plans to alter the current format.

I hadn't got some practice about 2 hours before the qualif, but this lovely american track would have worth it. As qualif and race demonstrated it, it was impossible to compete with the Falcon Mann, wich were eating my Mustang NTK at the end of the straight line. I guess the problem of this formula is just the lack of drivers, if we were 20, it could be very good for fun and action. To give a counter-example for what is discussed, i guess my whole race could have been lonely, as John was too fast for me in his Sprint (congrats, mate ), but in such a formula, Navin and FMG got a bit of a battle, at least. When they passed me, i decided to protect my tires, and to reduce their temperatures, as i was pretty sure to not having another battle. Thanks to all drivers.

It's very good of you to take cars from the slowest group Solmyr and is much appreciated.

I think it's quite telling to look at the distribution of podium places in the championship standings at the moment. P1 - P3 in the table have got most (as to be expected, as they're at the top), but then P4 - P8 haven't had a look in because the occasional drivers who are not affected by the handicapping get the rest of the podiums. I'm not knocking those guys at all btw, they're perfectly entitled to do only the races they can (or want) to do. And, as Clive said, respect to the guys that take a slower car than they actually need to If the attendance was regular across the board then the handicapping would be working perfectly, but I don't think there's a solution for that. Think i'll take a Falcon next time even though i hate the real cars! They must be quicker than the NTK as all the aliens are choosing them Anyone got a good Falcon setup? Never driven it! I find it's the opposite for me, the NTK is a little quicker than the Falcon Sprint but I'm trying to 'use up' my Sprint drives on the more technical circuits where it's lack of power isn't such a disadvantage. I actually prefer it to drive than the NTK, it's just a shame it's not quite as fast. PM me your address and I'll send you the setup (if team boss Clive allows it )
