Moderator's Report

Dave Rainier and Phil Thornton again took the top two steps of the podium, the Frenchman getting the win this time. They were joined by Martin Hunt, making it a great team result for Antipasti.

There were plenty of contenders for the top three places but this race was another example of the maxim, "To finish first, first you must finish".

Server replay time: 0h01m07s

Hendy spins at T2A and Nigel has no choice but to run into him. Hendy recovers but Nigel is left upside down and is then hit by Paul.

Server replay time: 0h08m47s

Nigel takes a stop and go for his lap one reset, however he stops four laps after the incident took place. Please note all stop and go penalties should be taken within two laps of a reset.

Server replay time: 0h10m48s

Billy has let Martin past on the back straight and resumes the racing line just as a fast closing Fran tries to lap him. Billy moves very slightly left towards Fran and contact occurs. In the aftermath Dave Curtis runs into Billy.

Server replay time: 0h12m29s

Billy slows on the back straight to let Fabio past, unfortunately neither car quite gives the other enough room and contact is made. Dave Curtis reprises his role from the previous lap and runs into Billy for a second time. As an encore Bernie, Hendy, Paul Markey and Fran all get involved too.

Server replay time: 0h26m12s

Phil follows Billy out of Moss and on to the back straight. Billy knows he is about to be lapped and backs off to help Phil, who is caught out somewhat. Although he manages to slow down a little, Phil hits the back of Billy and send him off track on the left.

Thanks for the analysis!

Particularly as a newbie,  I was hoping to remain out of the mod report as much as possible - but managed to get in there twice on consecutive laps.  Not exactly the low profile start to the season I was hoping for!

Without making any kind of admission,  apologies to Mr Nobrakes for the scuff marks.  At least they were all confined to the same panel...

Still, with 7 cars in that incident - maybe not one for the promotional video;  but maybe some TV channel will stump up £250 for the server fund?!

Otherwise,  I think I'm generally happy with that outing.  Could have been a lot worse,  particularly turning up late [luckily to find a spare slot!] with just enough time for a couple of practice laps on full tanks.  At least it was not raining Smiley

Cheers,
Dave.

Thx Ross for your job!
Just one question: why Francesco was excluded from the race result?

Fran drove the Eagle when he couldn't afford it Fabio....not enough tokens.... Embarrassed

https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=336&theme=6

A driver must have sufficient tokens for the chassis he drives in the race. Any driver who does not have sufficient tokens will be disqualified from the result and his tokens will be set to zero.
