That race was unexpectedly epic!

As I started the final lap with Navin and Manteos well behind me I concentrated on just keeping it on the tarmac and not doing anything stupid. The final right hander beckoned me on.....I could almost hear the champagne corks popping at team HQ.

Then Manteos popped up from nowhere and took 3rd and gave me 4th instead. I was sure that he must off cut the final corner but after watching the replay I can confirm that it was a faultless example of overtaking.

Great fun throughout, more like that one please!

I can only tell you that to go side by side for such a long and fast corners, is required the effort of both the drivers to stay on the line without having any contact. So if I did pass you, a good 50% of the success for that maouvre was due to your fairness in keeping your line without tightening on me (I hope it's clear what I said Smiley). By my side it was a desperate attempt, and I was brave and lucky to keep my line without going wide on your line, avoiding any contact. That means respect for the other drivers on the track, and I always claimed that the fairness of the drivers here in UK (GTL-P&G-GTR2) is something difficult to find in any other place Smiley
A big thumb up for you Tony Smiley

I'm sorry for you cause the podium vanished at the last corner, but you will have other chances for sure in the near future! Never give up! Wink

Smiley Had some fantastic racing in the opening laps with Bill, Phil etc. Eventually had a coming together with Bill at T1 (Sorry Bill ) Then settled in to a duel with Goldtop which lasted until the end ofthe race.

Enjoyed the replay........Particularly the Tony Navin battle.

That was a very good race. Myself and Mark were less than 100th of a second apart in quali and were very evenly matched in race.

I was all boxed in on the grid with nowhere to go and so found myself chasing back right from the start. I had a couple of half chances to nose in front of Mark, but each time I lost exit speed and had to chase back. With a few laps to go I decided to just press and wait for a mistake......which never came.
