The Jaguar is a far nimbler machine compared to the Aston Martin. It also likes to drift a bit at the turns.

Not had much time to try and get a good setup here - concentrating on tonight's race.  My Jag is a bit skittish,  Roll Eyes could you please let me have a copy of your setup?  I Am Not Worthy

Not sure whether I can make this one - have to prepare for a job interview om Wednesday.

Maybe without practice just for fun.

Thanks Tony got it OK.  Much nicer setup than mine, don't know about easier to drift but the back end is easier for me to catch so I get an inadvertent drift which scrubs off speed until I'm back under control.  Grin If I had more time to practice between now and race I might finish up drifting it.  Wink It certainly doesn't bite you like the DBR 1 which will drift but just as I begin to like it, it snaps around into a spin.  Roll Eyes Huh

That's what I liked about that version of the 250 GTO we used last night, I actually found it such a nice car to drive.  thumbup1 rockon

Yeah, the 250 GTO was exceptionally well balanced. Felt like a late 80s, early 90s rally car, letting it sideways into turns and then catching the back with the throttle and a bit of steering, but it would mostly straighten up on its own. I hope we get to drive it more, one of the most enjoyable cars I've driven in GTL so far.

Sorry Bill - I think I came down back on the ground in the pitlane after a rollover but didn't realize where I was - so I tried to come back on track in wrong direction just when you entered pitlane .

Mmm that car is a tough one to master. But after 44 laps of CC I think I might have the measure of her now. Tried the whole race to catch Alex but everytime I strung some dam good laps together and begin to close the gap I would go off, usually at the last right hander onto the finish straight. Looked like Hristo and Pelle were having a very close battle, lucky them.

Shame we were low on numbers tonight. Hopefully next time will attract some more.

BTW Bill, your lap times were getting better and better but I saw you hit some hard armco early on which was a real shame.

Big Grats Hristo & Ade thumbup1 ...a little empty field, but Hristo & I walked like Siamese twins  Grin
My plan was to get the tires to be fresh the entire race & strike on the final laps, but could do nothing  Angry

Too few on server & maybe I think too much of the 'old' race cars, the Cobra is difficult for most, LM55 is also a difficult mix...I must admit I miss some 76 race  Cheesy
It's not because I don't want to help with setup, but I had only tried Ferrari TR before this race & therefore fought to the last minute to build a setup for Jag D...& it is certainly not the cars can be built setup at 2 minutes.

First part of the race I actually thought you were going to catch me. You were 1 sec a lap faster and saw my gap of 12 seconds rapidly diminishing...
Then saw the gap growing again but I kept a close watch on the difference every time I crossed the finish line  sweatdrop

These cars are evil and had some problems getting the car under control with the bumps in the first corners. Easier than the Aston but a tad slower also methinks..
Engine sounds were great. Reminded me of a Spitfire  Cheesy

Congrats to Hritov (just kidding!) and Pelle. You made it look easy.

Looking foreward to the old Monza track !

Yes I had a torrid time, really didn't get time to do sufficient practice. No Problem Special KS, didn't pit deliberately (inadvertent like my drifts) exited that fast right hand curve lost it and finished up in pit lane still trying to gain control.  hammer hammer
