Race: 20:40 (24 laps)

Track: Laguna Seca Download this

This race will use the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0.

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk SCC
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page

Special Notes: None

Undecided  Not a track I'm fond of this one. No practice and lost my Cobra set up from last time out. Car never felt right from the start...Went off on T-Some where then had a nice little battle with Phspok before catching him at T1 late braking and going off for some beach digging.............Then went off again and gave up. Sorry guys I will usually finish a race no matter where I end up but me and this track have never clicked. See you all next week.

Cheers.  Smiley

With 3 from Team-GTLDK was my dream of course 1-2-3...but NRJ had to stand alone with Gold & champagne  clap Grats

Practice:
Too little preparation - I hate this car, but nice to look at - but got a little more control over the FIA model at Sega.

Qual:
No surprise Hristo took pole, but a little that I managed to squeeze in front of NRJ, hehe.

Race:
NRJ take revenge at first, but quickly gives space back, Thx...& match with Hristo begins. Countless laps in close race & a bit risky attempt brought me in front...for a little while.  Cheesy
Unfortunately, my steering wheel starts to go away, my drive becomes unstable...& a big shock when the wheel falls off the table. Trying to put it in place while I run - impossible - being forced to pull off & put it on...& NRJ passes. I figured now at the point, & it would be better with NRJ in front of me, so really a blessing in disguise.
They say always, an accident rarely alone - had fuel for 25 laps - but on lap 20 the car is thirsty & want more fuel, a walk in the pit & can wave goodbye to the third place.  Embarrassed
In a sixth place out of the pit, it will be difficult...but Ph appears to have committed the same mistake with fuel & it gets close fight on last lap - a little too close for PH sense I think. I try on the inside, but there are closed & push Ph little, unfortunately spins around, SRY. I'm waiting, but PH doing a disconnect Huh It was a battle for position, & we were not threatened by other & could be run over finish line 2 turns later.
On the replay, I had to see what had happened & how NRJ had passed Hristo...hehe, Hristo on the roof  Shocked
Grats Hristo & Ade  thumbup1

Edit: Just watched the whole replay. When you see the fight between Hristo & I, the first many laps...now I understand why my wheel fell off, really hard work  Grin

Was a bit quicker than the people behind and a bit slower than the people in front so
found myself in no man's land for a while, then Mark fell of and I had some fun trying to
stay in front, he eventually went off and fell way behind and left.

Then passed Pelle in the pits as he stopped for fuel, I had as usual taken more than
needed, but still got the fuel light with 3 to go, so went in for a splash and dash
came out ahead of Pelle who was a good deal quicker and would have easily passed
somewhere in the remaining 2 laps, so was dissappointed to be punted off with
what seemed an unneccessary move. Didn't feel like digging out of the sand for one
more lap, so quit.

It was a good fight with Pelle for most of the race, but then he dropped back and I just had to bring it to the finish. I waited for Navin so we can race together, but then someone spun just in front of me after Corkscrew and I couldn't avoid making contact. That flipped me over and dropped me to 2nd place, very disappointing.

Put the "-trace" switch after your GTL shortcut, ie, this is mine:

C:\Games\GTL\GTL.exe -trace=1000

The trace file then appears in C:\Games\GTL\UserData\LOG\trace.txt

Good luck deciphering it though!

FYI. Tried to post yesterday and it would just hang up when pushing the "post" button Huh.  Most have covered what happened in the race so I'll just say during my run it was a good start with getting the jump on Pelle. Knowing Pelle had the pace on me I was hoping that he would go for the pass on the low line after the corkscrew so I went for the high line and before I could even look behind Pelle was already getting it done Cool. Tried to settle in and stay close to Hristo and Pelle but after a few laps I must of over did it on the tires because around lap 7 I lost a lot of grip dropping dropping back a bit. Ade was then close enough to be a threat. I was thinking here we go again the Ade and Navin show Grin. I tried to be a bit smoother and let off a bit on the tires which allowed me to find a new grove. Passed Pelle after his wheel problem. Then was surprised to see Hristo. Saw that he car was very loose but after he was back on pace there was no real chance for me to pass. I Then must have dropped a wheel(still need to look at replay) at the kink going up the hill because I had a quick spin and rejoin. After that with 2 laps to go I thought that was that and 2nd place would be my finishing spot. Only to see Hristo off track just before the last lap. Not the way I like to win but I will take a win at my home track anyway I can get it. Lucky dog Smiley Grats to Hristo and Ade. Also cheers to all who participated.
