All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (24 laps)

Track: Snetterton 1964 Download this

Cars allowed: Any car, once only, from here The real mod 1.0:
http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod10.exe or here http://www.gamefront.com/files/21168781/RealMod10_exe

and last update (to ver 1.3):
http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod13update.exe or here http://www.gamefront.com/files/21168219/RealMod13update_exe

It's best if you create a standalone GTL install (copy your GTL to a temp folder, rename it e.g. REAL GTL, then copy back to your usual directory. Path the install to the new REAL GTL you have just created).  Install ver 1.0 first then update with the ver 1.3 install. Run the sim and purchase the cars.
We will not be able to use any skin packs with this mod.

Drivers are reminded that the maximum number of drives in any car is One. Check your status here

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk RGTL
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Special Notes: There are no start lights, instead there are starting marshals who wave a green flag to mark the start of the race. The pole sitter can't see any of these marshalls without using the "look left" feature. Suggest the grid countdown feature be turned on.

Glad that I changed to the Elite just before quali - fun to drive - but unfortunately there was no fight
with Tony in the Abarth  Sad

Chose the longest gearing for more pace om the straight but even with full speed it was alousy start
- you all know that I'm a lousy starter anyway...
So I ran about 5 seconds behind Tony, set a new pb but had my first of two turners in lap 10 and later some more minor mistakes and lost more and more ground - but was able to avoit THE BRIDGE  Grin
And Tony didn't make any mistake at all  clown so there was no chance to close the gap.

Finally a finish again for me and a funny track.

Thanks for organizing - hard times in times of football ...

Congrats to Geoffers on the win, and Mark on the podium.
I forgot to engage first gear at the start, and while I was reving the engine the rest of the field took off. Mark picked up 3 seconds on me there, and over the next 12 or so laps he stretched it to 5 seconds. One turn I could never quite get the correct acceleration point was turn 3. I was always either cutting the grass on the inside, or drifting too much towards outside. That's where I was losing time to Mark. But then I saw his car buried into the side of the bridge as I was passing by on about lap 12 or 13. After that I had a clear race to second place.

Smiley Strange race this one, I could not see Geoffers at the start and I appeared to be in P1 when I qualified P3. Geoffers got a good start But was showing as a DNF greyed out on the lap chart with no gap time! Intially I thought I might be able to stay with him but he soon got into his grove and waved bye bye disappearing into the distance.  Wink Syd kept me honest and I managed to pull a gap to 5 seconds............It was at this point I started to doze off when my old friend BRIDGE beckoned.  Grin No matter how many times I race at this track I never fail to hit that bloody bridge!!!  Shocked  Grin Ended up on my roof dropping 10 seconds to Syd whom then edged the gap up to 12 seconds by race end.

Congrates to all whom raced.  Smiley

This version of Snetterton has the grid arranged in the old style 3-2-3 formation with no stagger, so the front row are all in line with pole on the outside.

Good race for me, just loved driving the Falcon around here, its fast enough to make the track interesting. Got away well at the start & looked like Mark was going to give me a race for a few laps, but managed to ease away & drove sensibly to the win. Somehow I even managed to do 5 laps in a row at 1.40.3xx, bet I'll never be that consistent again  Roll Eyes

Congrats to Syd & Mark & everyone who turned up, you all finished too!

Another Monday night unepectedly free for me, but I was getting an error message when trying to join the server. Something like server running an updated game, which is strange because it's the same standalone install that I used last time (at Mugello)  Huh Must have messed something up somewhere but didn't have enough time to sort it out Roll Eyes

Hope I can make it next time as I still enjoy racing this mod.
