You can also get to the shortcut by making a right u-turn at the very end of the pit boxes. There is a very small gap between the pit boxes and track fence. Then just drive behind the pit boxes going the reverse direction of the track and you will come to the right turn that leads back to the track Smiley.

Sorry not a version of the track I know.  See I've driven Cobra here but don't remember track at all.  Not had any time for practice and spent 1 1/3 hrs tonight and never completed a single lap.  Got to Caracelle once but that was it.  Hope you had good race.  CYA at Snett 64 tomorrow night.

Yes, everything went wrong, start (had damage to the car before I was over the start line) & later froze my PC in 5sec...woke up outside in the grass & had perhaps taken Geoffers with  Shocked
...& after the race it went wrong again...my replay of the race will not work  Huh

My replay will not work either and the server replay does the same thing after loading it goes black and then drops to desktop Sad. Didn't we have this problem here before(Cobra race)? Add on track doesn't like GTL or something Huh Sorry to see a few others had problems Sad. I had just about a perfect run here with no problems and the last 5 laps all being within 7/10th's of a second of each other. A big congrats to see Kurt on the pody Grin Congrats to Geoffers as well and thanks to all that participated Wink. Cheers

I did a good start gaining some positions, but once again pushed too hard with cold tires during first lap. I made a mistake trying to let Pelle overtake me as he was faster than me and spun stalling the engine. In addition i couldn't avoid Hristo's Escort stopped at Adenauer and crashed into him. Didn't give up and pushed hard once tires reached their optimum temp. waiting for a mistake of the drivers i had ahead, but was me who made the mistakes everytime i reduced the gap a bit, and the Ring do not forgive them. But hey man, the most important thing is that i enjoyed every single meter of tarmac with the 911 driven with H-shifter, why the hell i didn't switch before??  Cool

Btw, since i switched to manual clutch i noticed that when i stall the engine i need to do the following procedure to start it again, i don't know if it's normal but that's the way it works for me:

-Don't press any pedal, not even brake, and be sure no gear is engaged, otherwise engine won't start.
-Press Contact button
-Press Contact button again
-Press Start button

My replay works well, if needed i can upload it.

Cheers!

Love this track - hope it can be saved and will have a future (STR = Save The Ring).

Had an ideal lap within the limits of my capability during quali and could register a new PB.
Hoped for another improvement to below 9:00 during race but could not maintain that level
of concentration and the Ring does not forgive any fault.
So after a bad start I saw Tony fly away into the green in Hatzenbach Grin and could not avoid
to crash into Hristo - together with Dario - who lay crossways at Adenauer Forst.

Then I had a mostly lonely race after I lost contact to Dario due to a turner. After Phspok, Pelle
and Dario left the race I found myself on third place  Cool
During last lap I had my usual loss of steering and pedal control but with an advantage of seven
minutes to Tony that was no big deal at all  Wink.
Very glad to have finished here on my hometrack.
Grats to Navin for the win and Geoffers and Tony for finishing.

Hey Bill - I can remember that you were able to finish the race with the Cobras here some months ago - so I
was really optimistic for you for this one too.

One question to the BMW drivers: just before start I realized that there are three options concerning wheels
(Dunlop, Goodyear and Historic) for the 2002, but there was no time left for examination so I stayed with the Dunlops.
Do you have any experiences concerning the other wheel options?

Thanks Tony for organizing this one - see you on track.

Sorry for the road block on top of the hill, but my car had very poor handling after crashing into the stationary cars at the start and I went off spinning there, and the car came to a halt right on the line. I would have retired as soon as that happened but I wasn't aware that my engine has been completely destroyed and thought I could continue.

I've always used the Dunlops, never tried the others.

Not too good a race for me, too many mistakes in the first 3 laps, but can't really complain about 2nd place. Wouldn't have been able to stay with Navin anyway. Tried to keep him in sight on the opening lap & was doing quite well until I had a couple of off-track moments which let Pelle get past.

Followed Pelle for nearly a lap then his car suddenly froze at Steilstrecke & I was too close to avoid running into it & spun off. Matt went past & I spent nearly a lap following him before nipping past at Bergwerk. Now with a clear track I managed to get into a rhythm & went faster with each remaining lap & finally broke 8.40 on the final one.

Congrats to Navin on the win & to Eifel & Tony for making the finish.  clap clap clap
