All members welcome. Grid/server capacity: 28 Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Race: 20:40 (36 laps) Track: Pembrey Download thisCars allowed: Triumph TR4 Download this Car restrictions: TBC Time of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Server: simracing.org.uk TTT Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: Pole sitter, 2nd and 3rd may have trouble seeing the start lights. Suggest they have the countdown switched on.

Hopefully I'll make this one - they're cutting the power off tomorrow for some work and they claim it'll be back by 5:30, they've been wrong before though...

Also having problems. In lobby ping seems to be inconsistent 130 to 35 (about normal) and I have lost connection each time I get on server.

GOod race, I was almost keeping the leaders in sight till they all fell off and I grabbed a lucky lead which I managed to justtttt hang on to for the finish.

I would have been on pole but got a disconnection with 5 mins to go (bloody BT)..........Qualified P4. Great start gaining P3 and then had an absolute humdinger of a race with Ade and Hristo. I cant remember how many times the lead changed between us but it was the best of racing so so close. Unfortunately around 10 laps from the end I was racing very close to Ade late braked and bumped him into a spin..............Very very sorry Ade we were having such fun as well. I waited and a red car came passed which I thought was Ade and it was only some corners later I realised it was Alex. So now I feel even worse..........Any way I pushed on because between us we thought we had the better of Hristo in this race!! I passed Alex and closed on Phspok whom was flying in P1. Over heated my tyres allowing Hristo to take P2...Very good come back Hristo. Ended up a rather guilty P3 which I think should really go to Ade. Look forward to the replay PS I found out when Ade spun he then got stuck on the kerb which explains the delay...Again sorry mate.

Thanks to Matt for jumping in and taking over the admin duties for this race. I was unable to resolve my PC problems so could not take part. Luckily my wife's laptop is available for me to use for this post.
Be back ASAP.

Was indeed a great race. I had a surprise in Qualifying when I noticed that my TR4 was extremely slow. I thought perhaps there are variety of TR4 models, so I quit the server and rejoined to check the car selection menu. It turned out there are some 3-4 different TR4 models, with different weights and car bodies. It would be nice if we are actually told about that in the race announcement thread, because when you see a single/spec car race, you never think there are sub-varieties still available. In this case, some of the TR4s (the heaviest ones) were noticeably slower, maybe 2 seconds a lap.
Anyway, I could have gotten pole, but made a mistake. 2nd was fine though, I was still learning the track, so I expected more in the race.
As Mark said, we had a great battle with him, Ade and later on others as well, like Ken and phspok. It appeared that whoever took the lead couldn't keep it for long, but once you were behind, you could somehow gain ground and attack. It made for a very entertaining race.
I had one funny moment spinning out of the fast right hander in sector 2, right in front of Mark, but managed to continue immediately.
Eventually I had a spin at T1 when I braked too late and then got my rear stuck on the banking and the sand there, so I lost about 10 seconds. I continued in 4th but then lost another 7 seconds with another spin, so I thought my chances are over, except maybe for 3rd place. Much to my surprise I saw the leaders appearing on the horizon and pushed very hard to catch up, moving up to 3rd with a few laps to go. Managed to snatch 2nd from Mark on the penultimate lap, but it was just not enough to close in on phpspok who won driving one of the slower TR4s! Grats!
