I'm going with the Lotus Elite this time. 2.21s with it last night but I think I can knock a bit off that with a little more setup time.

Heck, I was considering the Elite as well.  Undecided

and me.

But the Renaults are very good fun too.

Anyone tried joining our server yet?

I can see our server but when I try to join, I get the dreaded "Game not available. Host might be running an updated game...."

I think I followed the instructions correctly, but the mod seems to want to create its own GTL folder inside my installation which seems odd to me. Is that how it should be?

Edit: Just joined successfully with my usual install, so it seems the mod isn't running on the server yet.

Yep GT. When you install this mod, the installer create another GTL folder, so you have 2 options:

1) When you put the destination folder, you should avoid to install it into the GTL folder. Example:
My installation route for GTL is: C:\Games\GTL. So if you want to install the Real GTL mod correctly, you should put only this into the REAL GTL installer route: C:\Games - and it will install the mod correctly.

2) If you have already installed it into the main GTL folder, as you said, you should find another GTL folder inside. Drag it outside the main GTL folder on the desktop. Now Open the GTL folder (the Real GTL folder) and drag only the GAMEDATA (plus the 2 .txt files and the uninstaller) folder into your main GTL folder, overwriting the existing files if required. Now you should be able to join the server. I tested it and it worked for me Wink.
There's no difference between Uppercase and lowercase, so even if the Real GTL folder are all written in uppercase, it's not a matter when you copy it into the GTL folder.

I hope to have been relatively clear on my explanation Huh Huh

Thanks Manteos, but that doesn't explain how I'm able to join server without the mod installed, but am unable to join with the mod installed. In any case, unfortunately it looks like I can't race this Monday so at least I have some time to sort it all out  Sad

Strange GT cos I set the RGTL running after Thursday's race. Just checked and it's running now. I haven't tried to join myself yet so maybe I should  Roll Eyes

EDIT: Yep worked for me, however I noticed that not all of the cars were available so I think I've fixed that.

Correct, which I believe is 4 hours behind Georgia time.

Haven't managed to yet see the server in the lobby at the odd times I've checked since Friday. Is it running? I haven't changed anything but I checked my LOCAL_IP_LOBBY.TXT anyway and it contains 94.23.231.41, which I believe to be right.

Practice server wasn't running, so I've restarted it. Managed to join this time too, so I must have sorted myself out  Smiley

Thanks GT, all OK now.

No time for any practice so I'm just going to take the easy option, use the same car as I did at our outing here on 5th Dec (Alfa) and hope the setups for the other cars work the same in these ones.
