Could you post those links now, so I can see if what I installed was the same mod? Because if it was, then the problem is elsewhere.

That was a disapointing one for me.

Had trouble-free online test sessions with the GTA on sunday and a - still valid - pb of 2.22.5,
and had hoped for further improvement during practice and race, but was unable to match that
time again (my best in free practice was a 2.23.1 only and that only after I did some setup changes).
For the race I went back to sunday's setup, started from first place  Roll Eyes and was handed over
to last place after one lap.  Embarrassed

BTW - funny to watch the Gordini in first place  Grin

How could you go that pace during the race, Tony - best 2.23.3 ? "Chapeau!" That R8 is not an Audi  Wink

Then made two or three of my usual mistakes and was 20 or 30 seconds behind Tony, could close the gap
and pass Tony due to his own mistake. Then had a lonesome race up till the end with a best of 2.22.7 only.

Must admit that I had some higher expectations for this one - so the Alfa is gone for the series :'(.
Lets see what happens.

Incredible laptimes for the Tinas. In my test sessions the Tina was the slowest car for me with an unpredictable
handling (great difference to regular GTL), especially at the end of the corners.

Congrats to the podium.
Nice to see some new faces here.
Hope to se some bigger turnouts throughout the series.
And: well done Tony!

See you next time.

Smiley Great race guys. I thought the random grid putting you on pole Tony was a nice touch, the Lengths some people will go to to get a good start!!!  Grin

Tony flew off the line and held his nerve for the first lap with some nice lines.

I was quite Happy to follow you Tony but Jack had other ideas!  Wink

Followed Jack passed Tony and then dived down the inside a T-last taking P1.

Some nice close racing followed with Jack allowing the second Drummer to close the gap.  Undecided  Jack and I both did a bit of off roading during are battle, these REAL cars are just a bit less edgy that the old ones I think and just a little more stable on the grass.  Grin Anyway around half distance I managed to get a small gap after both Drummers decided to battle with each other. (Just out of interest guys were you running short or long gear ratios?) Jack spun and Phil pushed up to P3 and then passed Ken for P2.

I managed to get the gap up to around 6 seconds by the finish with tyres still feeling really good.

P1 Podium a nice start to the season. Its good to be racing with you guys again, but whats happened to the rest Ade, Leggsy etc? We had fields of 20 last year!!

Cheers

"Drummers"... lol

But you're right. There are still some more guys around who have to be motivated (Alex, Bill, Pelle, Sandor...).
I think Hristo and Navin will join next time.

Sounds like fun. I will be away in London for the next two weeks, Am commuting to BT near Stone, Staffs the week after
I might be home for the Mon and Thurs races. I would have been there last night but I am up in Edinburgh at the moment.

Good race early on, the Elite was more competitive than I expected.

Had to start near the back & the extra power of the Alfas & Cortinas told on the run to T1. Passed one or two on the first lap when they got a bit sideways! Surprised to start closing the gap on the lead group & got past Phil when he went grasstracking. He retook me on the S/F straight & the next lap I turned in too early at Casanova & the grass pulled me in & I couldn't get it back before the next turn & went off.

Rejoined behind GT but a couple of laps later I did the same again & also went off at the last turn  Roll Eyes. Spent the rest of the race alone & came home a bit disappointed in 6th.

Congrats to Mark, Phil & Ken & to GT for winning Div1. thumbup2

Lovely reporting Guy's especially yours Mike. It's rewarding to see that much effort being taken.

Thanks to everyone who turned out. Yes we are suffering a bit from some absentees but it was nice to have some new faces racing with us. Perhaps not the most exciting season opener but in this one it's all about the long game.

Hope you all come to Daytona next week for a Shelby Cobra fest.

I hadn't planned on racing last night as I've been laid low with a head cold but knowing that I was going to miss GTL was intolerable so I dragged myself to the PC and got going. The Renault is hideous to drive and it's as aerodynamic as a brick. It handles especially badly once you've rammed the armco a couple of times. Just pleased to finish and happy in the knowledge that I still have the Alfa and Cortina in my garage  Tongue

So could you post working download links for the mod please, Tony? I don't know how much time I'll have in the upcoming days, so I'd like to sort out any issues asap.

Thanks. Links from http://downloads.gamers-crib.com don't work at all. It's possible the site has restricted access to certain global zones or countries. By the looks of it I had the correct mod installed yesterday, so that leaves me clueless as to what the problem was.
