All members welcome. Grid/server capacity: 28 Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Race: 20:40 (16 laps) Track: Mugello Download thisCars allowed: Any car, once only, from here The real mod 1.0: http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod10.exeand last update (to ver 1.3): http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod13update.exeIt's best if you create a standalone GTL install (copy your GTL to a temp folder, rename it e.g. REAL GTL, then copy back to your usual directory. Path the install to the new REAL GTL you have just created). Install ver 1.0 first then update with the ver 1.3 install. Run the sim and purchase the cars. We will not be able to use any skin packs with this mod. Drivers are reminded that the maximum number of drives in any car is One. Check your status hereTime of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Server: simracing.org.uk RGTL Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. (4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings pageSpecial Notes: None.

hello,
what is REAL GTL???
is this a mod. where the physics?, handling, tyres are changed totaly like a P+G mod.? or only a mod. where the performance is balanced, or changed? and handling is same as normal GTL cars.
sorry for question, never did drive this REAL GTL, and i am not sure if i do drive this series, so i will know before what comes, downloading is always a pain for me with slow internetconnection DSL 0.384mb (ca.45/KB sec. download, or around 155-160mb in 1 hour)
thanks for answear servus

what is REAL GTL???
In effect, it adds new cars to the existing GTL game, cars which handle and sound different from the original ones supplied with the game. Everything else remains the same.

It's definitely worth downloading Berger. As Phil says, the handling is different from standard GTL and the cars are a joy to drive.
The performance is not balanced (there are also 2 groups within the usual TC65) and with Tony's great idea for drivers to take a different car for each race, it promises to be a brilliant series.

From the Real GTL read me
Introduction to the Mod: ------------------------ this mod is revamp of physics to all original TC-65 cars and Elite, to make them have real world based data and at the same time, provide still much more close bumper to bumper action in online racing. Yet, THIS IS NOT P&G for GT Legends and it was never planned to be one. This is mod that tries to bring the cars more close to real world Historics racing nowadays, but the way so that car do have their distinctive handling features, but still being competitive each other.
As absurd it might sound, the cars in original game had very variably authentic engine, brake and gearbox information. I have used basically all my free time (to be honest, more than that...) since end of F1 Venue Racing Championship season to go thru massive amount of sources from to net, libraries, books, etc. to get real information for these cars. Difference how the car behaves after changes varies a lot. U.S. Fords did not change much, but Jaguar Mk II is again is totally different beast.
Also, as we had quite good image how the cars compare each other in racing, I noticed that there's no way getting Abarth to realistic and competitive against Alfa GTA in same class. Solution for this was to create two classes differentiated by engine displacement. I selected 1224cc as biggest engine size allowed in lower class, just for simple reason it providing instantly 2 cars (Abarth and Elite) to lower class. I also had the 1000cc Cooper S in the works which I ported to this lower class straight away. Later on I found enough information about two different types of R8 Gordinis, which smaller one fits to lower class and those are included in mod as well.
Last, as REAL 1.0 will be used in F1 Venue Championship 2009 series, a lot of fuel tank information was accuired and all Division 2 cars have now real tank sizes available to them. Division 1 Cars are using up to date safe tanks and have standardized sizes to keep competition as close as possible. Also fuel consumption was totally redone to response known engine sizes. These two combined, values were tuned so that pit stop strategies would play some sort role in longer races.
Included cars are:
Division 1, under 1225cc: - Fiat Abarth 1000TC - Lotus Elite - Mini Cooper 1000 S - Renault 8 Gordini R1134 (1100cc)
Division 2, 1225cc and bigger: - Mini Cooper 1275 S - Renault 8 Gordini R1135 (1300cc) - Lotus Cortina - Alfa Romeo GTA - Jaguar MK II - Ford Falcon - Ford Mustang

First time I have tried these cars. To me they seem a little bit easier to drive than the normal GTL cars, or maybe I'm just not driving them hard enough! Anyway, having driven the Alfa in the recent Mugello race, I'm going with the Lotus Elite this time. 2.21s with it last night but I think I can knock a bit off that with a little more setup time.

Cheque in the post GT, usual amount ...or something lighter, all driving the same car in every race. Only a proposal

Only a proposal Hmmm, then we would have to hold a poll before every race to find the most popular drive, leaving those whose choice didn't win with the chance to drive a car they didn't really want or worst still, dropping out. Nah let's keep it as it is. It could throw up some intriguing grids.
