Smiley I was surprised to be so competitive. Managed to take Berger off the start and even passed Hristo and was P1 for a few laps but once H got in his grove I just could not stop him let alone stay with him. I set all my cars up on high fuel levels and tend to find as the race goes on the handling goes off. Luckily Pelle was battling with Berger and I managed to pull 12 sec's on them and keep the gap till race end......Very happy with P2. Wink

PS I set my brake balance forward to 60 Tony you may find this helps on tight circuits like this with heavy braking. At one stage when the car was light on fuel I was managing to spin both rear wheels in 4th gear....Very entertaining but not very quick.  Grin

I was also surprised how quick you were, Mark! Haven't practiced for this one and I almost forgot about the race, so spent most of the remaining minutes of practice and the first half of qualifying to learn the track in this car (I know the track otherwise), to make a setup and cure the pronounced snap oversteer on throttle. Eventually I found the sweet spot (or there about) and managed a :45 as Mark predicted.

The first part of the race was quite difficult though - Mark passed me, he even pulled a way a little, and then it was very difficult to make a pass because we were so evenly matched. Mark was braking awfully late into corners and even though I was catching him through mid-corner, I had to lift up slightly and stay behind for many laps. @Mark, it really helps if you brake a tad earlier and focus on earlier acceleration.  Grin

Eventually I managed to find a way around him and then pull away. Once the fuel went down, the car was suddenly much quicker and for 4-5 laps I was able to do some 45s, but then the tires went off and the car was all over the place. I got 2 warnings for cutting the exit off the final corner, so I had to be careful until the finish not to get a stop/go penalty. Me and GTL don't get along well with pitstops lol.

Grats to Mark and our team for the 1-2, great result! Looking forward to the next one.

Had one perfect lap in quali which caused my very satisfying place on the grid.
In race I didn't find any real rhythm and dropped behind Bill.
Improving after some laps and already could see Bill again when I got a
stop and go penalty and completely lost motivation and decided to quit
with a nice crash in pit lane  Grin

Nice grid - fun to drive.

CU next time.

Grin Yes Hristo my late braking is a bad habit.  Roll Eyes  I used to do tarmac Road & Stage Rallying with an old Escort Mk1 and I have always been a late braker sim and real life I am getting to old to change the habit now but it is some times useful in GTL taking the odd Alien by suprise!!!  Grin
