Give some power to the Prancing Horse please!!!
I tried a lot of cars before the race, and I decided to move away from the tooooo fast 911 GT3 RS, but I bet on the wrong (prencing) horse
Didn't noticed the difference in terms of speed with the RS before the race, but with splitter 2 and wing 3, this car is too much slower than the others. I would prefere a worse handling in place of an underpowered engine, but there are circa 13-14 km/h difference at the end of the straight here between the RS and the 430... a bit too much thinking about the reality, and considering I was driving the 911 RS with a click more on the rear wing.
However, talking about the race, I enjoyed it a lot in the first 10-12 laps, even if I had no chance to attack, and only the chance to defend the position was pulling the brakings and pushing a lot in every corner.
I was in a good 3rd position, close to H@l and Jon at lap 11 or 12, but I braked touching the grass, and my car inevitably spun. In that moment Truetom was coming, but he had no time to react to avoid me, so we had a bad crash, and my rear left suspention has succumbed, without considering the aero damage.
The omelette was done! In the subsequent 2 laps, I stayed on the track, just to see if the car was still drivable... and in fact it was possible to bring it to the checkered flag. So I decided not to repair aero and suspention, and I even not changed my worned soft tyres, that was the only good compound to have some chances to compete with the guys in front, and their "beasts".
I came back on track in 2nd position, but my pace was really different by the first half of the race. Jon, that probably changed at least 2 tyres, was gaining on me more than 2 seconds per lap, and lap by lap, my tyres were always worse. Luckily for me, Jon had a "distraction" at the last corner, with 5 or 6 laps to go, so I tried to be more consistent than fast, but it was every lap more difficult. He replaced his 18 seconds gap at the last corner of the last lap, and the useless Fiat Punto Evo engine did the rest
Grats to Jon for his great tenacity and a deserved 2nd place. Grats to H@l for a great race!
Sorry TT, but I couldn't do nothing about our crash
Cu for the next, but never more with a F430, especially in circuits with long straights. This car is good only in some kart tracks
