Geoff,

Thanks for posting the split. I'll be joining the fun - definitely Elf Squad.
One more space but don't let that put people off as we can run 2 grids.
I'm working off the lap top so if anyone can post a track link for Snowglen that would be great. I will update the main post by Friday at latest.

It is REALLY irritating when download sites do that. The track is also here

As for times - definitely 1:10s - I am in the 1:11-1:12 range so it MUST be quicker than that Wink

Now - setup advice please, the front left is getting too hot and the front right isn't getting hot enough. Temperatures are pretty even across the tyre (not perfect but within 4 deg) but one side is hot and the other cold - stiffen the springs on the cold side and loosen on the hot side?

Changing the spring rates might help a little Paul ( or even a big Paul Grin ).

But I always find WG one of those tracks where all the heavily loaded corners are right handers, so the front left and/or rear left tyre is going to suffer. Although Monza is similarly right hand biased I find that the longer straights give just enough time for the tyres to recover.

It will be bad with a heavy fuel load and should improve as the car lightens, but I find that I have to manage my speed and expectations in the early laps and maybe ease off just slightly through The Loop for a lap if the tyre temps go too high. It is surprising how just a slightly less aggressive lap will cool the tyres.

Thanks Clive. I never melt the front left but it is the lack of grip from the front right that concerns me most...

Thanks Clive. I never melt the front left but it is the lack of grip from the front right that concerns me most...

For each tyre we have Left  Centre  Right  Temps

For LHS of our car,  if the outer L is too "hot" we need more -ve camber ( i.e. a bigger -ve number ) If the inside is too hot we need a more +ve number

If C is too hot we need to reduce (less)  tyre pressure , if too cold we need more tyre pressure

For RHS of car it is the opposite

e.g.  if RHS Front wheel L is too hot decrease camber (make it less negative / more +ve number )

Works the same for front and rear tyres

Questions:
1 - Which track, Glen or Snowglen (are two different circuits, for GPL and Igor) ?
2 - How many laps ?

We intend to run Snowglen, Alex. As for laps, Fun races are usually about 30-40 mins. so 34 laps or so I think.

The reason I have left Watkins Glen or Snowglen is that if people do not have it by race night we can switch to Watkins Glen as EVERYONE will have that.
