I know how you feel Simon - all through season 1 I had problems driving the car online due to low frame rates, especially at the start, and the edgy nature of the GTR cars means that you walk a tightrope with low fps. Sounds like the server might be the problem atm since there are several people with the same difficulties.

Couldnt believe you got disco'd after such a great qualy pops Gutted for you mate, you would have got top 3 easy here. I had a much better race than i thought i would. Qualied 10th which werent great as i had a couple of laps where i was really on it and got held up by outlap cars, but still got a PB. After two drivers discod, found myself 8th on grid, got past Greg on first lap and pulled out a small lead on him for next few laps while he diced with Paul. Then turning into the corner at end of long straight on about lap 4 or 5, i'm smashed in the rear and knocked right to the back of the ferking gravel trap....rejoined in very last place, losing tons of time trying to get back on track. Then drove like a demon with outrage! and screamed back through the field picking off several drivers or watching them spin off until i got back up to 9th. Then on very last lap i saw Greg spin off in front of me , then try and recover but span off again whilst trying to shut the door on me at the next corner....poetic justice? I brought it home in 8th, which if you'd asked me before the race i would have settled for as i dont like Anders. But i didnt make a single mistake the whole sodding race and so could have had a top 5 place, so a little disapointed really. Good news was i got past Blaz, greg and shark ! Well done Paul and Don who got 4th and 6th ps, had no framerate or stutter probs at all.

Replay and provisional results posted I spent the 1st 2/3rds of the race following Don, never more than 2 secs in it as one of other of us would make a small mistake and the gap would grow or shrink accordingly. Then Don ran wide at the end of the runway, I got passed Then I spun onto the start/finish straight Then I spun again for good measure. Like Shark I was finding very hard to get the car slowed down and kept missing apexes. Greg kindly gave me a place on the last lap, bad luck there but I know what shagged tyres felt like too Just one point I noticed at least one driver not using the limiter in the pitlane, please do so in future.

Had a good qually and start of race but then my lack of a good race set up and poor knowledge of the NGT's started to come in to play, need to get used to giving it a little acceleration in the corners. Luckily there was no one around for me to crash into when I was spinning everwhere, which did wonders for my tyre's, must've had 6-7 offs Still, it made a nice change from the Lister, Might be time to lay the old girl to rest Must say thanks to Gerald for being very courteous, he was a gent at letting me through after I'd spun Very happy to finish 3rd, could've easily damaged car and got a dnf Grats to Rich on his fine Victory I didn't have any technical probs here. Damn unlucky to the guys that did Pity, was really looking forward to a another good scrap with JonM Next time dude

Yea, this race was going bad even before it started, what with all the warping, high pings, low framerate, and all. Too bad really. First of all I'm glad that my line held this time. After getting disco four(!) previous evenings in a row I was getting really afraid that it'll happen tonight, too. But it didn't. Yay! Qualified 5th I think, but then Pops fell out (too bad, really, was happy you getting this quick) and I was surprised to be 3rd. Sbd else must've fell out. Anyway, I was 1 sec slower in quali than the 2nd (Rich), Shark was close after me in his funny car of his and I expected a tough race. I tried some laps with AIs and with the setup Jon provided I had soft fronts and med rears. Fronts gave up even before half the race passed so I decided to go with med/med. Seems to be a right decision, right Jon? I saw yours giving in before mine. Race started ok, was following Rich closer than I expected, even Jon was not far ahead. Shark was slowly falling behind and I was quite satisfied with this. I tried to press Rich into making a mistake, but he didn't make any while I was close. great driving, Rich! Then I saw I was eating my tyres and decided to slow down a bit and I hoped Rich to have tyre problems. Well, Jon had them instead! At approx the same time as Jon, Rich made a mistake also, so I was right behind him and we overtook Jon and I was doing a "do it or die!" thing on Rich, but after initial slowdown he got paced again and slowly took off. I tried to follow him, but my tyres were at the end at that time and I spun twice in short order. Seems like Jon kept spinning so I came limping to the finish on the second place. A blast of race, full of events, maybe the most difficult DRY race so far. Happy to be 2nd, CONGRATS to the winner, great driving! And good points for Penguins again! I think there were four of us, or did I miss somebody. Don't know, have to see results first.

Hmm it's quite a good game, only a few bugs or things that don't work!! Shark, your low frame rates sound like it could be throttling on GFX card. Once GPU reaches certain temp some card throttle back the GPU and RAM and lower vgpu too which would lower frame rates a bit - but if that's the case you'd expect to be ok one minute then slower the next as the card cools and then heats up. Maybe check fan is working, otherwise I have a few tricks up my sleeve which might help. If I see you on msn, we chat and see what's what. Disconnections back to lobby aren't Simbin fault either. Internet is a complex thing. What you will probably find is that your line stats are poor, i.e poor attenuatin and poor signal to noise ratio!! If you have a router you can find these things out.. I had poor stats and tried different things but eventually I phoned my ISP and they asked me to connect to btwholesale line test for 12 hours or more. After that period they said I had been disconnected several times and would send an engineer out to investigate. The engineer did some tests on my line, went down the street to a box somewhere came back and said he changed a few boards around - no idea what he did but my stats were excellent after that even good enough for 8mb line!! Sometimes lines can be like a blocked toilet, you got to phone for a plumber to flush the blockage away. Maybe a sticky for Trouble shooting here would help - I start one anyhow!! Shame you had to go Mo, Jon got a right old run on me about 0.5 a lap.. but I kept you behind Tom quite well, although you had no straight line speed huh. What a pisser, and not easy out braking a 911 cause it got great grip on entry. But then I had an off, got too excited seeing Jon appear out of nowhere and had to fight you off again Tom which I did until you spun in final turn - geez you got some speed into that final turn, 911 is a dog round that one!! And then I only tried to keep it clean and realized with about 2 mins to go I was in 1st and then about to lap a F360 when I get the 'beep' race has finished ect. my first win on UKGTR I think, WOOHOO thankyou. Though I think a lucky one cause it could quite easily have been anything bewteen third or fourth.

Well what a bloody nightmare, sufferd the same fps issues as a few of the guys, one second its it the 100's next down in the 30's. Now 30 fps aint to bad but its the transition between the two which screws me up, no warning just bang have a couple of seconds of 30 fps the nback up to 80 or 100. Impossible to be consistant under those conditions. Is it time to try 1.5 ?
Anyway onto the race, qualed in 7th then after Mo had to leave up to 6th, bad luck mate it just aint on.
Race started and Nakano had a massive warp right in front of me letting 2 guys past. Followed Mar karound for a few laps untill our coming together, appologies and pm sent, dont really want to discuss it in public as we all know where that will end.
Going along ok in 6th or 7th, had a good battle with Paul. Tyres were really shot but was coping ok untill the final nail in coffin for tonight. Last lap the wife decides to come in and starts talking about some irrelevant shit, loose concentration and have 2 off's loosing 3 places. Still havn't found out what she wanted, arrrrgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg. Enough said.

Lol, Greg, I know what you mean. Mine came by 13 minutes before end and asked "Why are you so hot, it's not too warm today". Luckily I was on the long straight and didn't lose concentration too much. Maybe they're just jelous?!

Maybe they're just jelous?! Normaly I'm ok with the odd distraction, think it was a combination of a poor performance, shagged tyres and not enough practice on gtr, or maybe my bubble has well and truely burst. Bloody women, always got to have their say, normaly at the wrong time.

Bah!! you got to lock the door or something!! No way I would tolerate that, unless it's an emergency or something.. Those sudden low FPS is for sure throttling of GFX card which is caused by too much heat. When it reaches certain temp GPU and RAM speeds are lowered considerably to slower speeds in an attempt to decrease temps. I know Nvidia are quite harsh on throttling. I had it on my previous FX5900.. only way I fixed it was by making a bios for it with no throttling at all and then flashing it but that's quite difficult to do!! If you want me to explain more how to do it I can? Anyhow I flashed FX5900 and it fixed it but there is a risk always doing that sort of thing. Other way is some better cooling on GFX card i.e more expensive heatsink and fan, also got to keep case cool. Or alternatively, buy an ATI card cause they can take higher temps and have little or maybe no throttling at all - not sure but my x850xt gets to 50+ frames all the time. I cap frames at 50 by underclocking refresh rate to 50hz and then vsync on. I got 50 all the time no matter what including starts.. and it's super silky smooth as you can probably imagine. If anyone want me to look into flashing bios on GFX card, I can do send me PM cause I think even with better temps it will still after a while throttle down. You got two choices really, flash bios or buy ATI card!! Also, to keep my case cool I have PSU out side of case, side panel off and funneled ventilation system [using three big case fans and then re-directed 90 degrees] blowing cold air from outside window directly onto CPU and therefore around mobo. The funnel is made from card board and is air tight. Been there, got the T-Shirt. Nvidia, never again!! I have no complaints at all about both ATI cards i've had and using ATI Tray tools you got loads of additional tweaks and options.

I suffered from low fps for 3to 4 secs every lap going into turn 1. Despite that I had a fairly good race made some mistakes towards the end but delighted to have ended up 6th somehow?
