Moderator's Report

There were no REPORTED incidents for this race. But, that is not to say that this was a race WITHOUT incidents!!

Even the rolling lap at the start had some loon getting his tank on to the grass and into the trees which unfortunately set up a series of incidents behind...sorry guys.

There were quite a few bodywork bending moments during the race on a circuit that seems to have given some really close racing between the different chassis. For once the Porsches seemed to be able to challenge those Lolas. The last quarter of the race was somewhat spoiled by a string of discos that left gaps in the field and denied several drivers of potentially good points.
The UKGPL rules about "mass dsicos" are quite clear and there was not a big enough number of cars removed to justify a re-run. Unfortunately the internet does not gurantee us a problem free link for our races and this is just something that we have to accept.

For those of you who might be tempted to quit a race because you feel that you are too far behind to gain anything, remember that in any race a couple of cars can run out of fuel, crash or disco on the last few laps and you might find yourself close to a podium step if you just keep things going right up to the flag.

Thanks for your comments Alex............to have the Mk2 Ford  running very fast.
Now i understand everything.
That little girl who greets me at every race from the pits is called Alice.
The white cars that i see on track are not Porsche, but versions (detuned) of the White Rabbit DoubleTurbo Intercooler.
The flock that flew in circles above Rouen was not composed of swallows, but elephants, with Dumbo leading the group.
Now it's all clear for me, will not be necessary to say anything else; it will be enough, in case, read the book of Bedtime Stories.

Hi guys.

Can you please tell me at which section of the track the discos/ freezes/ ctds happend?
Ginetto might have a look on the track again and check for errors.

We (GPLRACER) also recently had some freezes running 66 mod.
With 65 mod we never had any problems.
But as we know this can be different with the mods.

Cheers
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

I will run through the replay again and give you the positions where drivers got disco'd within the next couple of days.

Hope that Ginetto can do a quick fix as this circuit is usually great fun.
