TEST RACE
Season 16 skins test race

Practice 1: 20:00 GMT (30 mins)
Qual 2:       20:30 GMT (20 mins)
Race:          20:50 GMT (40 mins)

Cars allowed: Any GT2 from the UKGTR car pack v2.16.0.0

Note: You need the 'Physics pack v2.16.0.0' to take part in UKGTR season 16 races. The new skins are included in the 'skins pack GT2 v2.16.0.0'. You do not need the skins to join the races but, the cars look a bit odd without them.  Grin
There are no changes to the physics but, you still need the physics pack. You will also have to reinstall the sound pack after updating to season 16 physics if you want the add on cars to use the correct sound files.

Track: Enna
Race Start Time: 14.00
Weather: DRY

Tyre wear: normal.
Fuel consumption: normal.
Pit Stops:: None required.

Server: simracing.org.uk GT2
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules - especially the speed limiter starting procedure and the rules about in-game chat messages.
(2) You will not be able to join the server without the car physics pack and track (see links above).
(3) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of everyone's connection will be reduced.
(4) Please use the Driver Details page to ensure that the league management software has your correct GTR2 'Driving Name' (not necessarily the same as your lobby name).
(5) The server will be set to 26 slots, not 28.

Hey folks a wee bit of temporary good news.

I found and old 512MB GPU in the shed that was my dads old one. It lowered the Windows rating but I done a 15 Minute race on Enna with 15 opponents and it runs pretty much perfect on medium graphics so I will see you tonight :-)

Going to dust off the helmet and throw caution to the wind.
Only because it's an old favourite of mine and there's no pit stops and strategy to worry about after so long from racing in anger.

that was hard work.

sorry for the start lap i forgot :-)

ended up starting in last and thats where i stayed till people started to drop out. I have no idea how i didnt join them as I hit the 2nd chicane on lap 16 and spun in the air for a good 2 or 3 seconds and when i came down allo that was wrong was a bit or aero damage and a flat lol.

Glad to be back. See you all next week

Results available - see above.

Well done to everyone who made it to the end. Sadly I had one too many scraps with the tyre walls and ended up with a puncture. Failure on my part to hit the right button to enable the pit limiter meant a speeding offence and the final straw for my race.

Thanks Pete for stepping in at short notice. As it was a test race and H@L had planned it to start later i thought i'd fit in an iR race at 8pm as i'd put it off all week so wasnt able to step in a sort out the server.

Joining with a few mins to go in the BiT which is officially "the worst handling car in the world!" wasnt the best start and had to massively stiffen up the front to get any kind of steering going but the car was very unstable when braking. Shame i didnt get the gear sorted right or else i could breezed past you guys more easily! lol Interesting with Leuven early on but had to abort a chicane as i was heading to the tyres which menat droppping back.

Not sure what you were doing QS at the start, you didnt really close up so started quite far back, must have been a bit lonely!

Traffic. I missed my session in the GT Web race as well. Totally gutted.

Thanks for doing the server duty picnic.

Is the skin pack working OK? Anyone notice any issues?

Quick question.

Do you allow the use of no cd patches for the games here?? i was just thinking because its a pain the backside to keep changing disks all the time lol

I used it until recently, now I'm back to changing disks again. Boostpeed issues I guess. Sad
