Moderator's Report

Server 2, clear of Red Zone infringements....Remarkable gents.

Server replay time: 0h50m14s

Sergio gets together with Tristan for a little late night poker, a cigar and <ahem>. Both drivers trying hard but Sergio should have known that Tristan was up alongside and does not give him quite enough room. That would have been ok if Tris hadn't clipped the grass.

Drivers always need to give each other racing room and this is covered in the Etiquette section. It states: "If an overtaking driver has any part of their car beside another as they enter a corner, the driver being overtaken should not move across; they should give the overtaking car room and go through the corner side by side, or let them through into the corner and try to re-take them at the exit."

Is the breach enough for a penalty - I think this is just Porsche racing at its hardest but with the layout of the track Clouds could have left a bit more room and used the left hander to close the door.

It is never a bad idea for any standard of driver to err on the generous side when leaving room.

Actually our Jason Blito seems to have some problems to participate full time to this league so to keep our Team Shadows with all the 3 participants classes: Pro; Amateur; Novice; Team Shadows is looking for an eventual Novice Replacement that should replace Jason in case he could not participate in some of the remaining PSC's events!
Any request to join our Team as Reserve Amateur Driver is appreciated.

Thank you !

Hi Attilio, Honestly speaking I know nothing about my 3:31.06 because I still didn't watch out for GPLRank.
About the un-towed I've to watch the replay  because I didn't remember if I've got some tow...anyway it could be also if...for true I've a 3:30.49 made on another pc in offline and alone. Wink A lap almost perfect I can say.

I really needed more practice. I haven't raced the Porsche for quite a while and I hadn’t raced at Spa for a while. So as soon as I was home from work on Friday I booted up GPL and got a few practice laps in.

I remember how much I enjoy Spa, it’s a great flowing circuit and the Porsche is a nice car to drive around there. I was a mile off the pace when qualifying started, but I was getting slightly quicker all the time. I was quite please with my grid position, I thought I’d be a mile off the pace so was quite happy to be that close to the pack.

Either I got a good start, or Geoff didn’t get the best start, but either way I shot past him. As soon as the road straightened out a little I eased off as soon as I saw it was my teammate behind. I tried to follow him and settle into the race. I knew I wasn’t the quickest so didn’t get in anyone’s way when they came up behind me. I was trying to catch their tow with only limited success.

For some reason Geoff ended up behind me at about half distance. I let him past again and tried to stay with him and keep in his tow. Unfortunately I was concentrating on keeping in his tow more than where the track went. At the end of the long straight I was going to fast and left the road at 170mph. My car didn’t survive the crash and it was the end of my race.

Well done to everyone, it was a good race and it was certainly quick at the front.
