Great race for me. Had tried the Jag and best I could do was a high 15, so tried Tina and was quite a bit quicker.
Was tempted to change cars so I could race with Phil. but had not time to try stuff so just went for it, and ran surprisingly well
had a great race long battle with Geoffers who was peddling the Mini round way faster than i could have done
I went off onto the grass once reading Phil's chat, but got back on and eventually caught and passed Geoff
and held on to the end while we tried to take advantage of traffic.

one of the most enjoyable races I've had. Great stuff  Cool

Same here. The three abreast with the backmarker going into the 2nd chicane had me laughing out loud.

I went off onto the grass once reading Phil's chat

Sorry about that. It took several presses of the wrong buttons to find the one that should have said "Congratulations Oliver for smashing me off in the 15th race in succession. Next time simply wave a handkerchief and I will happily let you past: the back end of my car will thank me for it".  Wink

Hadn't done any practice at all for this so just took pot-luck in choosing the 1275 Mini. I knew the track though & have done lots of Mini racing so had a good idea what was needed regarding setup, was still surprised at how competitive it was. Cool

Race went really well, set off after Matt, hassled him for a couple of laps & took the lead when he went a bit agricultural. Lead only lasted a few laps, Matt retaking it on the run up to Tower. It was then just a case of trying to hang on, kept close for a few laps but then started overdriving & lost more time.

Calmed myself down a bit & drove more smoothly & the laptimes dropped, not really able to catch up again though until the last 10 laps. Gradually got closer to Matt, but it looked like I would run out of laps until Matt got held up by a couple of slower cars with one lap to go  Shocked! Was right on his tail exiting the last corner to start the final lap only to push a bit too hard & get two wheels on the grass, any chance of a pass gone!  Roll Eyes

Congrats Matt, great drive & also Phil in 3rd  thumbup2

Firstly, sorry for the problems some drivers had with regard to cars not being available for selection. I had left some cars off the server so hands up, my fault.
Unfortunately the Real GTL server will stop if someone tries to enter the race with a non-Real GTL car and that also caused some problems last night.
But we eventualy did get under way and I thought the circuit provided some great action with pairs of drivers having their own battles for nearly all of the race. If I hadn't of hit the armco hard at Quarry, early on, and damaged my steering/suspension I think I might of claimed a podium place (or wishfull thinking).
Anyway I had a great race and well done everyone for a neat grid with a Real GTL mix of cars and classes.
More like that please!

PS Anyone know where Ade's disapeared to?
Strange I was thinking the same thing.....Have not seen him for a while.  Sad
